In the role of Technician - Brewing working in Trenton, OH, is responsible for several functions within the area – control and monitor all brewhouse, fermentation, filter and finishing operations with D3 and BrewMaxx  control systems, optimize throughput and eliminate loss, execute equipment CIPs, and manage material inventories. Safety tasks are a requirement performing these tasks. Quality, hygiene, housekeeping and other GMP activities are also an expectation when working in the area.

 
This position is part of a team-based union environment with a 180-day probationary period. You will be in a manufacturing environment on a fixed shift. Compensation starts at $22.33/hr. that increases to $26.83 after successfully completing your probationary period. 

This position reports to the Line Lead - Brewing. 

 
What You’ll Be Brewing: 
  • Brewhouse operation that includes performing CIPs when scheduled, adding materials per recipe and performing analytical tests
  • Monitor and control the brewhouse processes using the control system from malt storage to cold wort sent to Fermenting.
  • Managing liquid adjuncts to meet the demands of the production schedule. This includes working outside.

 

Key Ingredients:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Demonstrated understanding of flow, volume control in a closed system or experience in a food/beverage plant or other production environment.
  • Must have an excellent safety record and be able to regularly lift over 50 lbs. The position also requires frequent bending/crouching.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft office applications and have capability to learn several different computer applications, inventory tracking systemsOutlook, Excel, D3 and BrewMaxx.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production upsets and issues and escalates appropriately.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • GMP manufacturing knowledge and willingness to learn and support operator-based maintenance activities.
