In the position of Payroll Team Lead based in Milwaukee, WI, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and compliant payroll services across the US, Canada, and LATAM countries. This role ensures regional payroll cycles are executed seamlessly, aligns processes with country‑specific regulations, and drives operational excellence. The Payroll Team Leader acts as the escalation point for complex payroll issues and partners cross‑functionally to enable a high‑quality employee payroll experience.
This position reports to the Tower Lead- Record to Report/Payroll in our Global Business Services (GBS) shared service model and works closely with both direct reports as well as HR (HR Business Partners, Total Rewards,) Legal, IT, etc. on management of the payroll operations, providing input and guidance as necessary.
What You'll Be Brewing:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of payroll professionals supporting U.S., Canadian, and LATAM payroll cycles.
- Works collaboratively both within GBS and with business stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of activities and the migration of additional activities
- Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures around all payrolls and timekeeping processes, including all related accounting and control standards
- As the SME, oversee end‑to‑end payroll processing for multiple countries, including pre‑payroll, calculation, validation, approvals, and post‑payroll activities.
- Champions the continuous improvement mindset for all team members and provides leadership and a strong strategic vision
- Coordinate with external payroll vendors and ensure SLAs are met for LATAM and Canada payroll, managed services providers.
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, regression testing, and integration activities for HRIS and payroll systems.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and Technology teams on cross‑functional projects including automation and data quality initiatives.
Key Ingredients:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- You have at least 5 years of payroll experience, with at least 3 years of leadership experience leading a large team
- Experience supporting payroll in the United States and at least one other region (Canada or LATAM) required; multi‑country experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, and statutory requirements across U.S., Canada, and LATAM.
- Experience with global payroll platforms and HRIS systems (e.g., Dayforce, People Central, SAP, UKG).
- You can manage competing priorities among several stakeholders with the ability to exhibit diplomacy and tact to diffuse high tension situations.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder‑management skills.

Pay and Benefits:
At Molson Coors, we’re committed to paying people fairly and equitably for the work they do.
Job Posting Total Rewards Offerings: $84,000.00 - $110,200.00 (posting salary range) + 15% target short term incentive + $23,000 on average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above market employer match, wellness incentives and EAP + paid time off (including holidays, vacation days and sick days).
The posting range provided above for salary is what we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We ultimately pay based on a number of non-discriminatory factors that inform pay decisions including but not limited to the required work location, previous work experience, skill set and internal equity.
