 The Headlines:   

In the role of Supply Manager - Brewing Materials, working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of the Strategic Sourcing team.  You will define, implement, and manage all aspects of a new or complex pool of spend categories.  Independently executing the sourcing methodology: overseeing operational activities, managing adherence to contracts, developing supplier scorecards, managing cost-saving initiatives, and implementing sourcing strategy. 

 

This role is the first level of management in assessing issues with new or complex categories and meeting day-to-day customer and stakeholder procurement needs. This position reports to the Sr. Category Manager.

 

 

The Responsibilities: 

  • Manages new or complex pool of spend categories.
  • Independently executes the strategic sourcing methodology (Seven Steps).
  • Provides training and guidance to stakeholders as it relates to the strategic sourcing methodology.
  • Conducts spend analysis and identifies savings opportunities.
  • Assesses stakeholder needs and offers alternative solutions.
  • Analyzes supply market data/information.
  • Creates long term and short-term category strategy.
  • Recognizes the need for change and drives the change plan with little or no guidance.
  • Recognizes demand management triggers and works collaboratively with key business stakeholders to drive value.
  • Identifies relevant sources of supply.
  • Executes category strategy, which may include negotiation or RFx process, if necessary.
  • Negotiates agreements.
  • Manages strategic supplier relationships.
  • Understands concepts of supplier development.
  • Develops supplier scorecards and facilitates regular supplier reviews to track savings, supplier performance and service levels.
  • Monitors contract compliance.
  • Identifies opportunities and implements solutions for continuous improvement of quality, service, cost, etc.
  • Understands key value and cost drivers of supply markets and suppliers.
  • When appropriate for a category; manages inventory levels against targets, value contracts, invoice & payment issues, etc.
  • Involved in budgeting and forecasting processes for spend categories.

 

The Other Qualifications: 

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in related field OR equivalent experience (3+ years) in the field of procurement
  • Anticipates and responds to business needs and opportunities based on changing market and competitive environment.
  • Optimizes sourcing/purchasing strategies and quantifies impact on people, process and technology.
  • Applies knowledge, tools and processes to benefit and improve supply management.
  • Understands, applies and guides continuous improvement methodologies or tools in daily job.
  • Works with a long-term perspective in addressing stakeholder's goals to deliver
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities
