The Headlines:    

In the role of Senior Project Manager – Engineer working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of the Technical Services department.  

 

You will be responsible for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing between 3 and 10 projects varying in size from $500k up to $10M at a time.  This position is responsible for refining the scope of a project, with the assistance of the project team and consulting engineering firm, to end up with a +/- 10% confidence level budget. 

  

This position reports to Sr Manager Electrical Automation and Controls and works closely with the Integrated Supply Chain teams. 

  

 

The Responsibilities:  

  • This position will issue Requests for Proposals and Quotes to our Consultants/Engineering Firms to begin the design efforts that will drive the project into execution 

  • You will work with the Consulting firm and Construction Managers to issue for construction bids, purchase equipment and materials, and begin construction of the project 

  • During Constructability Reviews, the technical expertise and problem solving skills of the PM/designer, will lead them to identify Value Engineering opportunities to make the project deliver the best solution at the optimal cost to the enterprise, meaning, they should look for opportunities to deliver the same quality results, while minimizing interruptions to operations, and doing so cost effectively 

  • The position will be required to control cost and quality, holding daily construction meetings as required, ensuring that safety is of the utmost priority 

  • Maintain the forecast of the project expenditure, provide Estimates at Completion, and deliver the project to the satisfaction of the customer 

  • Project Manager is responsible for documenting when the project has been completed, conduct startup audits, and validate performance guarantees on installed equipment 

 

  

  

The Other Qualifications:  

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree  OR equivalent experience (4+ years) in the field of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering  

  • You have at least 10 years experience in some sort of project role 

  • Strong ability to manage deadlines, spend, and coordinate multiple stakeholders  

  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities 

  • You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome   

  • You take accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments   

  • You have a thirst for learning – you are always looking for ways to learn and help one another grow
