The Headlines:
In the role of a Solution Designer working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of the global IT team reporting to the Sr. Mgr Solution Delivery. This pivotal role acts as the strategic bridge between business objectives and technical execution. As a trusted integrator, the Solution Designer aligns enterprise goals with scalable manufacturing solutions across a fully integrated three-tier system—spanning the ERP layer (SAP), MES layer (GE Proficy), and Control layer (DCS). Success in this role hinges on the ability to foster strong cross-functional relationships, inspire innovation, and lead change through clear communication and stakeholder alignment. Leveraging data, analytics, and KPIs, the Solution Designer ensures solutions are not only effective but also measurable in their impact on manufacturing efficiency and quality. Collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders is essential to drive continuous improvement and long-term value.
The Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and IT teams to understand manufacturing challenges.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
- End-to-End Solution Delivery:
- ERP layer (SAP) – for business processes like production planning, inventory, procurement, and quality.
- MES layer (GE Proficy) – for real-time manufacturing execution, performance tracking, and data collection.
- Control layer (DCS) Integration– for automation, process control, and equipment-level operations.
- System Integration Design:
- Define data flows and interfaces between SAP, GE Proficy, and DCS
- Ensure seamless communication and data consistency across layers (e.g., production orders from SAP to MES, real-time data from DCS to MES)
- Solution Validation & Testing
- Develop test plans and validate that the integrated solution meets performance, compliance, and quality standards.
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
- Governance & Compliance
- Ensure solutions comply with industry regulations (e.g., FDA, ISO) and internal IT governance.
- Maintain documentation and change control processes.
The Other Qualifications:
- You have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in designing, testing, deploying, and maintaining manufacturing solutions within a process manufacturing industry using GE Proficy Suite of technologies
- You maintain an in-depth knowledge and proficiency in integrating manufacturing execution systems with the shop floor systems.
- You have experience in at least one end-to-end implementation of an integrated manufacturing solution.
- You have a working knowledge of Data Historians and related communication standard of OPC.
- You have following preferred experience
- Plant Apps 2023 or Beyond
- GE Operations Hub
- Systems integration to plant floor systems
- Maintaining SAP master data
- SAP ECC PP-PI, varied middleware solutions
- You have experience working within a Manufacturing/Production Environment (highly preferred)
- You are required to travel to MCBC brewery locations (appx 20%) of the time

Pay and Benefits:
At Molson Coors, we’re committed to paying people fairly and equitably for the work they do.
Job Posting Total Rewards Offerings: $92,100.00 - $120,900.00 (posting salary range) + 10% target short term incentive + $23,000 on average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above market employer match, wellness incentives and EAP + paid time off (including holidays, vacation days and sick days).
The posting range provided above for salary is what we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We ultimately pay based on a number of non-discriminatory factors that inform pay decisions including but not limited to the required work location, previous work experience, skill set and internal equity.
