The Headlines:   

 

In the role of Technology Innovation Solution Designer working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of the Information Technology (IT) team. This person will partner to assess, build, and deliver software and hardware solutions that meet business needs and timeline. The individual will be responsible for capturing and analyzing business requirements, then researching, designing, developing, and recommending technical solutions. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, a broad understanding of application development principles, and the ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally. This role will be a key driver of innovation efforts rooted in emerging technologies, so it will be important to stay on top of industry and tech trends in order to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of each solution implemented.

 

This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Technology Innovation and works closely with designers, analysts, architects, and project managers as well as business stakeholders and a variety of third-party service providers. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, ready to find improvement opportunities and contribute to IT solutions that often directly affect critical business processes.  

 

 

The Responsibilities: 

  • Support the full lifecycle of IT solutions, collaborating with other software developers, business analysts, architects, and IT professionals to implement solutions 
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of solution development within time and cost constraints, and preparing design documentation 
  • Develop all aspects on the application design including coding for security, encryption, error logging, debugging, scalability and performance, plus the creation of environment configuration and application testing 
  • Test developed software applications to ensure performance, scalability, coding, caching, security, encryption, session state management, and error logging and testing 
  • Write and maintain technical documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes and corrections, as well as any issues in existing software 

 

 

The Other Qualifications: 

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field OR equivalent experience (4+ years) in the field of IT
  • You have at least 3 years experience with emerging technologies and innovative technologies (e.g. cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, prototyping tools).
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities
  • You are proficient with developing, deploying, customizing and integrating software solutions 
  • You have the ability to balance a wide variety of projects in a fast-paced work environment You are confident and competent 
  • You are diplomatic, professional and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships within the business 
  • You are a skilled negotiator focused on the client; your constant curiosity fosters your innovative style and you can equally execute ideas given to you 
  • You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome  
  • You take accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments
