In the role of Senior Counsel – Litigation & eDiscovery working in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, you will be part of the Americas Legal & Government Affairs team. 

You will be responsible for the implementation of a comprehensive data collection and discovery management program and support for litigation and investigations.  You will manage litigation and provide advice and support on a wide range of corporate issues including commercial, coverage, insurance claims, marketing, intellectual property (IP), products and regulation.

This position reports to the Assistant General Counsel – Litigation and supports the Americas business unit on litigation and discovery and works closely with stakeholders across the organization.

What You’ll Be Brewing: 

  • Manage, counsel and support on a wide range of pre-litigation and litigation and coverage issues and matters including demands, tenders, discovery, and litigation through resolution.
  • Draft, implement, and maintain legal holds.
  • Collect and analyze information stored electronically, review and use data to support litigation and investigations.
  • Educate and deliver ongoing training to business clients on e-discovery processes and policies.
  • Monitor case law as it develops to help meet business needs.
  • Mitigate risk and manage litigation across the commercial functions of the company, including issues related to supply chain, IP, sales & distribution, marketing, regulatory, insurance, privacy related claims, asbestos and government affairs.
  • Provide advice and guidance on a wide range of issues to internal clients and stakeholders, developing solutions to issues while effectively managing legal and practical business considerations.
  • Assist with enterprise risk management and business continuity programs and interviews.
  • Supervise and manage outside counsel.
  • Improve existing legal resources and processes to enhance efficiency and mitigate risk.
  •  Coordinate and delegate workflow with team members on claims handoffs, discovery support, and related matters to ensure efficient case coverage across the team.

Key Ingredients: 

  • You have a law degree, are in good standing of a state bar, and a minimum of five (5) years of litigation experience  in a major law firm and/or corporate legal department (preferably with a CPG company).
  • You have experience leading electronic discovery efforts, including developing search terms, conducting custodial interviews, negotiating discovery protocols, collecting data, analyzing data, identifying “hot docs”, managing all aspects of subpoena response, and producing documents in investigations and litigations.  Experience with e-discovery tools a plus.
  • You have experience of a wide range of litigation matters and have managed and supported matters from intake to discovery, through litigation and to resolution.
  • You have experience with insurance claims and coverage matters.
  • You have supported clients that have complex international corporate structures and multiple lines of business.
  • You have experience managing legal paraprofessionals and outside counsel. 
  • You work independently with little supervision in a deadline-driven environment while managing multiple competing priorities and maintaining attention to detail.
  • You take accountability for results acting with integrity and honoring commitments.
  • You build relationships and collaborate to get the desired outcome.
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of business priorities.
  • You have demonstrated knowledge of relevant litigation issues related to the beverage industry or other consumer packaged goods.
  • You have sound and proven technical legal ability combined with strong business awareness and the ability to articulate complex legal issues.

At Molson Coors, we’re committed to paying people fairly and equitably for the work they do.


Job Posting Total Rewards Offerings$129,900.00 - $170,500.00 (posting salary range) + 20target short term incentive + $12,500 + 400 Non-Qualified Stock Options target long term incentive + $23,000 on average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above market employer match, wellness incentives and EAP + paid time off (including holidays, vacation days and sick days).


The posting range provided above for salary is what we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We ultimately pay based on a number of non-discriminatory factors that inform pay decisions including but not limited to the required work location, previous work experience, skill set and internal equity.
