The Headlines:   

In the role of Solution Architect – Salesforce working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of the Information Technology team, supporting global Commercial, Sales & Marketing domains.  Responsibilities include, providing architecture consulting support on a portfolio of Commercial, Sales, and Marketing initiatives leveraging our Business-to-Business (B2B) and Customer Relationship Management solutions.  This role is instrumental in driving the strategic and tactical use of Salesforce technology to advance our business, solving complex business and technical problems, and advancing our DevSecOps capabilities in a SAFe Agile operating model.

 

The position reports to the Sr Mgr Solution Architecture – Commercial and collaborates closely with global cross functional agile develpment teams and commercial business product owners.

 

The Responsibilities: 

  • Act as lead architect on key projects, providing architecture and design consulting support on a portfolio of solution enhancements that may be multi-skilled or Salesforce platform specific.
  • Collaborate with and provide technical leadership and direction to internal and external delivery and development teams to oversee the implementation of solutions.
  • Maintain holistic understanding of systems and environments, serving as approval for functional and technical specifications which cross applications and/or solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and Agile development teams to refine and define application and product features to deliver business value or advance the architectural runway.
  • Lead development of LEAN business cases and technical work definition in support of architectural runway/technical Epics and projects.
  • Support development of LEAN business cases and technical work definition in support of business outcome focused projects.
  • Direct and support the implementation of software and hardware upgrades.
  • Lead designing and documenting technical specifications for the solutions, ensuring architectural design aligns with enterprise standards as well as industry best practices.
  • Taking an economic view when designing solution architecture and making sure it aligns with business goals and objectives.
  • Act as an escalation point for addressing technical challenges and providing guidance to development and support teams.
  • Participate in innovation management activities: research, suggest, evaluate, rank, oversee proof-of-concept activities, and transfer knowledge of appropriate new technologies into the broader IT environment.
  • Be a thought leader driving innovative adoption and use of technology and methodologies.

 

 

The Other Qualifications: 

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or Engineering OR equivalent experience (4+ years) working in an IT discipline.  
  • You have at least 4+ years experience with Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud, Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Marketing Clouds and/or CQP.
  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce and its platform components including Sales Cloud, CG Cloud, CPQ, Commerce Cloud, Experience Cloud and Service Cloud
  • Advanced Salesforce certifications
  • Advanced knowledge architecting, designing and implementing solutions that leverage cloud and on-premise technologies
  • Advanced applied knowledge of integration patterns
  • Experience working in Agile model, delivering value in iterations as a member of Scrum team.
  • Applied knowledge of DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline
  • Applied knowledge infrastructure and security concepts and how they are applied within Salesforce
  • Applied knowledge of change management, configuration management, and the use of metrics to drive quality and continuous improvement
  • Applied knowledge in risk management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP a plus)
  • Salesforce Architect certifications
  • Development skills and/or knowledge in other B2B and B2C applications and platforms.
  • Experience with SAFe framework
  • Experience in working with 3rd Party Service Providers (vendors)
  • Travel up to 15% of the time.
  • Individual functional areas of expertise include but are not limited to:
    • Commercial: Sales, Marketing and associated processes and technologies.
    • Supply Chain: Procurement, Logistics, Production Operations processes and technologies. 
    • Enabling Technologies:  Quality Assurance, IT integration, batch processing, collaboration and knowledge management processes and technologies
    • Solution Development: Solution build and development processes and technologies
