The Headlines:

 

In the role of a Regional Transportation Manager, you are responsible for:

 

* Assisting in developing & implementing & driving MillerCoors transportation strategy & execution consisting of managing all truck load freight that moves from a domestic or international brewery or warehouse through to final distribution to the distributor customer.

* Ensure team is integrated & aligned with Customer Service, Breweries, DC’s, transportation providers & distributors

* Develop & manage domestic & international carrier network to deliver superior service to 845 distributors in the US, 218 Export distributors / 60 international customers, 8 big domestic breweries, 5 craft / small breweries, 8 import supply breweries, 3 distribution centers

* Providing strategic & tactical direction for 3rd Party Logistics providers for transportation planning & execution 2. Cost effective execution of the transportation & logistics function is paramount to the success of the overall supply chain & distributor service model while maintaining highest service & quality levels

* Directly responsible for ~ $75MM in freight spend for domestic & international transportation

* Integral position in delivering against CSC’s cost savings targets

* Establish monthly supplier performance measurements & utilize results to manage suppliers

* Develop, manage & deliver against transportation budgets. The position is responsible for engineering transportation solutions for brewery/DC operations, carriers, suppliers & distributors

* Provide support in the planning & implementation for one common TMS solution to integrate with future state distributor ordering tool & SAP integration. The position is responsible for developing & managing network of both strategic & tactical carriers including the following

* Develop a multi-modal network including Over the Road, , Dedicated fleets, services, 3rd Party Logistics providers, etc. to deliver the Integrated Supply Chain’s annual plan to service - 65MM bbls/$173MM weekly revenue/approx. 3,000 weekly truckload shipments

* Provide leadership & direction during annual planning process & freight bidding process. Conduct rate negotiations with strategic & tactical suppliers annually & as required

* Responsible for supplier management & performance working closely with Manager Logistics Strategy & Controls to ensure that MillerCoors has a competitively advantaged carrier network

* Focus on continuous improvement of logistics processes and communication with carriers.

 

 

The Other Qualifications:

7 + Years transportation/logistics, warehousing supply chain preferably in the beverage industry and/or consumer products.

Bachelor’s Degree or MBA in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or Business.
