The Headlines:   

In the role of Supply Chain Manager at 10th Street Brewery working in Milwaukee, WI, you will lead, coach and motivate the supply chain/warehouse & production services teams. You will be responsible for managing the production schedule to ensure a proper flow of materials, bulk beer, and finished products. This will include the purchasing of direct/indirect materials and services to ensure that time service is driven and schedule operations are not interrupted. 


You will also be responsible for managing transportation services; you will utilize contract and national carriers to ensure economical, reliable, and timely deliveries while upholding product integrity. 


This position reports to the Senior Manager Operations - 10th Street and work closely with Production Services analysts and other brewery leadership. 


The Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for the creation and issuance of all JLBCo purchase orders

  • Ensure all JLBCo purchases are conducted within the parameters of generally accepted business practices, MCBC business conduct policy, and applicable state and federal requirements

    • Maintains statements of continuing guarantees, ensures contractual obligations and renewals are kept current, conducts competitive bidding, resolves conflicts arising from ongoing business relationships

  • Maintain direct material inventories at levels that meet packaging and racking requirements

  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly line schedules which optimize product availability and brewery efficiencies while satisfying shipping requirements

  • Manage daily packaged glass needs for all packaging operations, through local off-site packaging vendor

  • Manage selection and scheduling of outbound/inbound carriers 

  • Manage imports of foreign goods, working in conjunction with MCBC Customs Brokers as required

  • Establish and maintain a proactive partnership with distributors to ensure that their product needs are satisfied

    • Capitalize on all retail sales opportunities, through proactive inventory management and analysis, while balancing distributors and Molson Coors goals/costs

  • Supervise shipping and warehouse hourly personnel, and maintain warehouse & transportation infrastructure

  • Maintain adequate number of transportation carriers to meet transportation needs, and manages freight rates in a competitive manner

  • Manage the execution of the company’s monthly shipment plan to meet financial objectives while balancing distributor goals/costs with brewery goals/costs


The Other Qualifications: 

  • You must possess a high school diploma/GED

  • You have at least 5 years’ experience in production planning, logistics, warehousing, procurement and/or related supply chain function

  • Proven leadership abilities to manage small work teams, and communicate well with multiple levels of the organization

  • General understanding of TTB regulatory requirements, State/Federal labeling requirements, FDA requirements, GMP requirements, OSHA and labor relations compliance

  • Advanced knowledge of distributor, production, and brewery capabilities including the ability to balance service & cost in decisions affecting distributor and brewery operations

  • Highly developed organizational skills. You have proven ability to manage multiple tasks and complex problems in a fast-paced work environment involving a variety of areas of the business.

  • Well-developed customer orientation techniques in order to partner with the brewery, Corporate, vendors, suppliers, distributors, co-packers, field sales, and Marketing personnel, while exhibiting a commitment to excellence in customer service
