The Headlines:   

In the role of Manager, Ethics & Compliance Investigations working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of the Americas Legal, Ethics & Compliance and Government Affairs team.  You will support the organization in promptly and thoroughly responding to allegations of behavior not aligned with our Code of Business Conduct. You are also responsible for identifying ethics and compliance risks, developing insights to formulate proposals to mitigate those risks, and partnering across the organization on opportunities to enhance our culture.

 

This position reports to the Director, Ethics & Compliance and works closely with cross-functional teams in US, Canada, and Latin America, as well as employees and supervisors/managers.  

 

The Responsibilities: 

  • Promptly and thoroughly conduct ethics investigations as directed from assignment to closure, including receiving allegations, identifying issues requiring investigations, developing investigation plans, conducting interviews, identifying findings of facts to determine investigation outcomes, and providing recommendations on remedial actions of identified concerns and risks.
  • Provide guidance to cross functional investigators to meet expectations.
  • Prepare concise, accurate, high-quality investigation work product and briefings to stakeholders, etc.
  • Be a thought partner with the Director Ethics & Compliance on culture issues and partner with all levels in HR to provide insight and trends into allegations of misconduct and drive an understanding of the cultural issues as well as potential solutions.
  • Develop, conduct and implement investigations training, best practices, tools and materials for cross functional investigators
  • Participate in projects and provide other support as needed to advance the company’s Speak Up culture and ethics and compliance team’s mission.

 

The Other Qualifications: 

  • You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • You have a minimum of 5 years in ethics and compliance, legal, or as an human resources business partner
  • You have a strong understanding of employee investigations best practices and standards.
  • You have experience conducting internal employee investigations, and you have outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • You take accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments.
  • You exhibit our core values and communicate with and relate to all employees in an empathetic manner consistent with our Put People First value (e.g. machine operator, plant leadership, corporate leaders)
  • You protect highly confidential information, use good judgment, and present significant matters clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
