The Headlines:

 

  • In the role of a Materials Planning Analyst you will Operate direct materials planning processes for segment of $9B, 65 million barrels MillerCoors supply chain, including key suppliers. 

 

The Responsibilities:

  • Operates direct materials planning processes for segment of $9B, 65 million barrels MillerCoors supply chain, including key suppliers. 
  • Operates and contributes to the development of the materials planning processes which determine the can, bottle, paper (cartons, labels, sleeves) supplier requirements plans, and also processes that oversee the execution of material supply plans, coordinate course corrections, and develop and implement contingency plans across the supplier network.. 
  • Contributes to the value creation through the development and execution of materials plans across MillerCoors supply network, from supplier through brewery.
  • Manages the development of a subset of direct materials plans which drive $3.0B operating budgets.
  • Manages a subset of the MillerCoors and supplier materials inventory strategy development and ongoing management of ~$60MM materials inventory across both MillerCoors and JV suppliers.  Each analyst is responsible for ~$10-15M in materials inventory.
  • Responsible for executing a subset of ~$1.0M in materials obsolescence budget.  Each analyst is responsible for ~$200-250k in materials obsolescence management.
  • Supports the supply planning component of the Sales & Operations Planning process which aligns Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance leadership on volume, revenue, and supply plans.
  • Operational interfaces regularly with Managers and Analysts across the integrated supply chain, and also across Sales and Marketing.
  • Key integration points with Procurement Managers, Customer Management Planners, Customer Management Analysts, DC Planning Managers, and DC Planning Analysts.  Also works directly with Manager, Supply Planning, Supply Planning Analysts, and Manager, Master Data, and Master Data Analyst.  Works closely with Brewery materials management and scheduling personnel.
  • Outside MillerCoors, the analyst works directly with supplier personnel, including account representatives and supplier plant scheduling and planning personnel.
  • Requires day to day influence with above Managers and their teams.  
  • Contributes to company revenue growth through effective materials supply plans, resulting in materials availability to meet customer demand.
  • Works with the IT Managers and Analysts to operate and implement materials requirements (MRP) systems and processes that improve business capabilities and deliver business results and product supply objectives.

 

The Other Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree desirable with 5-7 years of experience in operations planning or scheduling environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of basics of materials management processes and practices. 
  • Working knowledge of inventory management and plant scheduling and planning processes and systems.
  • Ability to develop and communicate recommendations in the  medium- and short term tactical planning horizon with impact on multiple areas
  • Analyze information, evaluate and resolve complex issues in changing and often ambiguous environment.
  • Working knowledge of advanced supply chain management systems and processes.  Knowledge of SAP APO (advanced planning and optimization), materials requirements planning (MRP) and plant level scheduling modules including PP\DS and other legacy scheduling applications.
  • Ability to execute new strategies that provide MillerCoors with competitive advantage in the marketplace through effective materials planning and supply processes.
  • Ability to understand the needs of the customer and execute  materials supply strategies that meet both customer and MillerCoors objectives.
  • Ability to quickly assess situations, identify root causes of issues, generate multiple solutions, make sound decisions, and effectively communicate at multiple organizational and functional levels across MillerCoors and the supplier base.
  • Ability to quickly build and develop effective working relationships across the organization.
  • Ability to operate the tactical level in the development of materials supply strategies and plans that meet day to day needs of MillerCoors and our customers.
  • Ability to communicate highly complex issues in simple business terms to a wide variety of stakeholders across the enterprise.
  • Working knowledge of technology and systems application and interdependencies across the transportation and logistics and into the broader supply chain and linkages to the company.  Detailed knowledge of supply chain/logistics systems and processes.
  • Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills managing external suppliers/partners including transportation companies and public warehousing, operating with a sense of urgency.
