The Headlines:   

In the role of Manufacturing Mechanical Maintenance working in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the 10th Street Brewery, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the entire 10th Street Brewery Operations. You will be part of a team that is responsible for set-up, repair, adjustment, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and rebuilds of all equipment associated with the 10th street brewery operations to include brewing/cellar operations, Filling/Packaging equipment and Mechanical Rooms (Ammonia, Glycol, Air Compressors/Dryers), and buildings and grounds support. You will have had previous experience working in a manufacturing mechanical maintenance environment maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex operational equipment.

 

This position reports to the Asset Care/EH&S Engineer and works closely with our Brewery Workers, Mechanics, and Electricians. 

 

The Responsibilities:  

  • Complete preventive maintenance on the equipment in the assigned area. Attend to breakdowns in a timely manner while continuously reducing downtime and waste 
  • Machine repair to include dismantling, inspecting, and rebuilding machines and mechanical assemblies to ensure conformance to specifications or production requirements
  • Demonstrate skills in troubleshooting electrical devices such as PLC’s, VFD’s and devices such as photo eyes and proximity sensors.
  • Some fabricating using basic shop tools (Drill Press, Arbor, Cutting torches, saws, and welder (Stick/TIG/MIG)
  • Demonstrate skills in Robotic, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, pumps, laser alignment, power transmission, precision measuring tools 
  • Document all work performed using the current maintenance computer system

 

The Other Qualifications: 

  • Must have a minimum of 5-year mechanic and electrical experience
  • Must have a high school diploma, or a GED and be at least 21 years of age
  • Preferred if candidates have completed State of Wisconsin indentured apprentice program in Machine Repair, Machinist, Maintenance Mechanic, Tool and Die, or equivalent
  • Ability to read equipment assembly drawings
