The Headlines:


In the role of Analyst- Demand Planning Analytics you will be in an entry level role in Demand Planning.  Individuals in this role have the opportunity to learn about Demand Planning Processes and Systems.   This role supports Demand Planning by executing key business processes and reporting.  This role is a great way to build cross functional knowledge and a good stepping stone to becoming a Data Scientist supporting Demand Planning.


The Responsibilities:

  • Develop and generate key weekly and monthly reports to support the Demand Planning Team and the need for up to date information on business drivers of demand for MillerCoors products in the US and Export Markets.  This information drives the company’s S&OP, Capacity Planning, Supply Planning,  General Managers P&L’s and  Distributor Order planning.
  • Supports collaborative planning process within regions, brands, and/or set of national accounts. 
  • Develops and delivers forecast reports at the weekly, distributor, brand, package level .
  • Effectively utilizes reporting and exception processing capabilities to focus attention on improvements to forecast accuracy.
  • Focus on development and analysis of exception reports in order to understand where risks and opportunities exist in the forecast
  • Support design, development and implementation of improvement processes / systems related to demand planning
  • Drives for continuous improvement of forecast accuracy by using collaboration and communication of STR forecast performance and key business drivers.
  • Seeks, shares and documents best practices across team to lift overall team competencies.
  • Develops business process documentation for current demand forecasting and demand management systems and for the enterprise processes that support Demand Planning
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses/projects as needed


The Other Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of how SAS EG datasets work to understand the SAS system landscape and the overall Molson Coors data and reporting structure.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel Skills needed to generate reports that utilize both SAS data sets and Excel sheets as input.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with the Demand Planning Team, brand marketing, sales and supply planning for the purpose of developing a “one number” sales to retail (demand) plan.
  • Ability to perform “what if” analyses based on customer need.
  • Excellent data management skills to analyze large volumes of information, evaluate and resolve complex issues in rapidly changing environments.
  • Strong influencing and communications skills.  This role has a substantial amount of management interaction and must be able to promote and defend recommendations to deliver an accurate forecast.
  • Ability to evaluate business performance metrics, document learnings, communicate findings and translate into future forecast expectations.
  • Ability to quickly assess data patterns, identify root causes of issues, generate ideas and solutions, and make sound decisions based on facts.
  • Tolerance for complexity and ambiguity
  • Self reliant and self motivated when it comes to time management and driving toward goals.
  • Understanding of when to shift from analysis to action.
  • Commercial aptitude with proven negotiation skills.
  • 1 – 3 years forecasting, supply chain, manufacturing, production planning, sales & consumer goods experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics required.
  • SAS or Similar Statistical Forecasting experience desired.
  • Tableau/BI/visualization experience desired
