Crafted Highlights:
In the role of Financial Analyst-Payroll, you be part of the Global Business Services (GBS) team where you will be responsible for data analysis, financial reporting, forecasting, compliance & controls, and assigned duties.
This position reports to the GBS Team Lead-Payroll and works closely with Human Resources, Legal, Finance, Labor Relations, and other cross functional teams.
What You’ll Be Brewing:
- Analyze payroll data, labor costs, and pay trends to identify variances, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for leadership, including overtime, headcount, earnings, and benefits summaries.
- Support budgeting and forecasting with payroll-related financial data and projections.
- Maintain and monitor internal controls related to payroll accounting and reporting
- Assist with payroll system updates, testing, and data validation (e.g., Ceridian, People Central, SAP, UKG).
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, Legal, Labor Relations, and Total Rewards to support compensation planning, benefits analysis, and workforce cost management.
- Provide payroll data insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Participate in leadership meetings and provide updates, metrics, or insights when covering for the manager.

Key Ingredients:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, HR, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- FPC or CPP designation preferred
- Experience working with payroll processing systems such as Ceridian, Dayforce, ADP, and/or managed payroll service providers
- Experience with US and Canadian Payroll preferably multi-state, multi-province, and multi-entity processing
- You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and you provide a high level of customer service
- You can work with minimal supervision in a team setting
- You can work with and maintain confidential documents and information
- You have excellent organizational skills to complete a large volume of work timely and accurately and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities
