The Headlines:
In the role of Director, Beyond Beer Distribution, Logistics & Transportation working in Milwaukee, WI you will be part of the Logistics & Transportation team. You will in addition to supporting Distribution and Transportation near term and long term strategic direction, as Director of Beyond Beer Distribution you will be responsible for building, leading, and managing our Beyond Beer 3PL distribution network. This will include working closely with internal cross functional teams and external partners providing distribution, ecommerce, pick, pack & ship operations and final mile delivery. Strong interpersonal and Logistics acumen is a requirement of the role.
This position reports to VP Logistics & Transportation and works closely with Sales, inventory control and overall Supply Chain teams. As well as strong collaboration with contracted 3PL’s to support alternative RTM channels focused on Beyond Beer initiatives
The Responsibilities:
- Most importantly, you will lead a team of 5 talented colleagues, and support their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one on one conversations
- Sets the strategic direction and develop the digital roadmap for third party Distribution, warehousing and logistics for Beyond Beer and Beer products.
- Lead the team responsible for all Beyond Beer routes to market. Will include extended 3PL warehouse providers, ecommerce distribution, multi-modal transportation modes, and final mile deliveries. Will also be responsible for IT integration oversight and Inventory Management of partners.
- Leads, directs and develops, managers, specialists and cross functional professionals in transportation/logistics, in support of distributor and market service. Ensures that the team is focused and well-trained for delivering expected business results.
- Define and implement all exception management initiatives to maximize and optimize RTM across all products
- Lead the implementation of WCSC one way of working and standardization of processes across all Distribution area and define all continuous improvement initiatives for the area
- Safeguard MCBC reputation ensuring that Logistics and Transportation is compliant with MCBC NA SOX requirements
- Lead definition and implementation of best-in-class technological solutions (TMS,WMS, Ecommerce fulfillment, etc)
The Other Qualifications:

- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or Business. OR equivalent experience.
- You have at least 8 years transportation/logistics, warehousing supply chain preferably in the beverage industry and/or consumer products. Experience managing multi-site “pick, pack, & ship” final mile service providers
- You have logistics and supply chain management knowledge and application of enterprise supply chain principles and practices to maximize logistics and transportation effectiveness and competitive advantage.
- You are customer focused with ability to build a network to support Beyond Beer needs with unique key suppliers, warehouse providers, ecommerce companies, distributors, and breweries
- You have detailed knowledge of 3PL supply chain/logistics systems and processes including Reverse Logistics, small parcel deliveries, “pick, pack & ship” operations, final mile delivery, and managing ecommerce operations.
- You have exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills managing external suppliers/partners operating cross-functionally with a sense of urgency
- You have the ability to integrate/leverage new 3PL operations into existing structures improving cost, communication and service.
- You have experience with strategic direction setting of logistics operations to maximize cost and service.
- You have financial acumen to support Business case creation, analysis, and decision making. History of P&L responsibility in large multi-national organization
- You have the ability to effectively collaborate with senior leaders and executives both internally and externally in the pursuit and implementation of business objectives.
- You have advanced organizational and leadership skill to lead multi-divisional and site distribution models and simplify large volumes of information / complex issues in rapidly changing environment.
