In the role of Category Manager – Malt & Alcohols working in Milwaukee, WI you will lead a small team of procurement professionals who will work closely with key stakeholders in brewery operations to manage North America's Malt supply. The role will not only have people management, but it will also lead for the development and execution of major category strategies, playing a key role in supplier relationship management and delivering significant value to the business. The role will lead North American Malt supply and several other categories with a total spend of approximately $100M.
This position reports to the Sr Director of Procurement – Ingredients & Partnerships.
What You’ll Be Brewing:
- Most importantly, you will lead a Procurement Analyst and support their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one on one conversations
- Engage with and influence senior level internal stakeholders to align on needs and priorities.
- Will play a critical role in development of key relationships with the Barley teams and Internal Malting operations.
- Deep analysis of network supply optimization and portfolio costing within Malt assisting with make vs buy decisions for our vertical integrations.
- Maintain supplier relationships and performance, lead negotiations, conduct sourcing events
- Deliver cost savings, cost avoidance and other measures of financial value
- Mitigate supply issues of critical materials to minimize brewery downtime
- Develop category sourcing and negotiation strategies across malt, purchased alcohols and spirits, salts, and acids used in the brewing process.

- You have a bachelor’s degree, procurement accreditation OR equivalent experience in the field of procurement.
- You have at least 5 years experience in procurement

Pay and Benefits:
At Molson Coors, we’re committed to paying people fairly and equitably for the work they do.
Job Posting Total Rewards Offerings: $111,900.00 - $146,900.00 (posting salary range) + 15% target short term incentive + $23,000 on average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above market employer match, wellness incentives and EAP + paid time off (including holidays, vacation days and sick days).
The posting range provided above for salary is what we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We ultimately pay based on a number of non-discriminatory factors that inform pay decisions including but not limited to the required work location, previous work experience, skill set and internal equity.
