The Headlines: 

In the role of Category Manager- CAPEX (capital expenditures), you will be a lead in the North America CAPEX Procurement team, which supports Supply Chain.  The CAPEX Procurement team supports an annual spend of $500 - $700M per year.  This role will lead the procurement efforts for $100M - $150M annually.  You will be responsible for supporting the team of Corporate Engineers as they develop and execute strategic projects (+$50M) across our North American breweries and support factilities.  You will play a key role in supplier relationship management, to help find, select, and monitor the performance of our key suppliers. Categories in scope for you include warehouse automation,  plant recapitalization projects, greenfield site development, and site transformations.  Travel (~20%-25%) to project sites is expected, with occassional international trips to support project needs.

 

The ideal candidate for this role is self motivated, passionate about teamwork, a relationship builder, and a creative problem solver. This role requires a high level of expertise in negotiating contract terms with external vendors, strategic sourcing principles, the procure-to-pay process, and has the ability to partner closely with internal stakeholders including Legal, Risk, Engineering, and Finance to meet the complex needs of the business.  You should expect to interact with both internal and external Executives during the supplier relationship process. Ideally this candidate will have 7+ years of procurement and contracting experience.

 

This position in based in Milwaukee, WI.  You will report to the Sr Category Manager, North America CAPEX Procurement, and work closely with cross functional teams in Milwaukee, Canada, and the Brewery teams.

 

 

The Responsibilities: 

  • Lead transformative projects, drive simplification, and best in class ways of working within your categories.
  • Maintain supplier relationships, lead negotiations, conduct sourcing events, and conduct Top to Top leadership meetings.
  • Identify and deliver cost savings, cost avoidance and other measures of financial value (target $10M-$15M annually)
  • Deliver annual and long-range business planning, development, and delivery of category strategies.

 

The Other Qualifications:

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience in procurement
  • Expert in category strategy, strategic sourcing, supplier management, and spend analysis.
  • Demonstrated construction and capital equipment contract knowledge and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in beverage or high-speed consumer goods in a multi-national environment preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
