The Headlines:   

In the role of Associate Chemist/Office Coordinator working in Watertown, WI you will perform critical job functions such as Laboratory Analysis, Customer Service, Operations Support, Domestic and International Shipping, MRO, Raw Material, Invoicing, Procurement and Plant Administration for the Watertown Hops Company.

 

This position reports to Quality Manager and works closely mainly with internal and external Commercial, Finance and Supply chain teams.

 

The Responsibilities: 

• Coordinate collection, storage, and disposal of samples

• Perform laboratory sample preperation, analysis, and process calculations.

• Instrumentation knowledge required- HPLC, UV-Spectrometer, GC, Moisture analysis, AA

• Assemble and communicate production and analysis data from the lab and production floor.

• Order chemical supplies and lab equipment for the laboratory and certify receipts against specifications.

• Assist with tracking and counting monthly inventory.

• Record all data in both computer data base and paper files.

• Manage the budget for the lab; this includes tracking and trending of purchases of lab equipment, lab consumables and any other financial expenditure related to lab functions.

• Manage and satisfy from beginning to end the documentation for specific international orders. Focus country will be Mexico.

• Coordinate all facets of purchasing for the plant. This can include creating purchase orders, validation of receipts of goods and services , vendor creation and invoice management.

 

 

The Other Qualifications: 

  • You have an Associates OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Prior experience with chemical or food manufacturing preferred
  • Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office Including Excel, Teams, PowerPoint and Word
  • SAP experience
  • Experience with HPLC and GC required
  • Experience with International Shipping preferred
  • Proven ability to rapidly develop system capabilities
