The Headlines:

In the role of Manager, Advanced Analytics Data based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, you will be responsible for evaluating new data sets requested by the analytics team and other functional teams, and the creation of the processes to load and prepare the data for use by data science teams and data analysts. This work may be conducted directly by this resource, or through direct oversight of both internal and external 3rd party resources. In addition, this resource will enable other functions to self-service analytics and data through design and development of capabilities to support their requests. This role will work closely with business resources to understand business questions and provide data that can be used to answer them. 

Finally, this role is expected to build strong relationships with IT business partners, data scientists, data analysts, and other key resources that rely on data and ensure that data is made available to all functions that can benefit from it. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics, and works closely with a variety of internal/external stakeholders.

 

The Responsibilities:

Leadership

  • Provides leadership in the application of advanced analytics with a focus on data integration, governance, and processes
  • Aligns projects to link to overall marketing or planning timelines, and uses influence management to anticipate and solve key conflicts/tradeoffs in timing
  • Leads & manages external resources to deliver specific analytics Use Cases, build global analytics capability and a collaborative, high performance working environment
  • Setting software engineering best practices for analytics
  • Leads the design and delivery of self-service tools to empower users with data

 

Delivery

  • Develop process and best practices to manage data transformation and delivery
  • Understand business context of data and build data models that support business analysts
  • Document data and processes
  • Build tools to facilitate business self-service using Dash, Tableau, and other technologies
  • Become a subject matter expert on data and coach other teams on appropriate data use and practices

 

The Qualifications:

•            Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent is preferred   

•            4+ years of experience working with large datasets building, managing and harmonizing disparate data

•            Proven creative & analytic problem-solving skills in a commercial & consumer context

•            Excellent technical skills in SQL, Python, and GIT (Databricks and dbt is a plus)

•            Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Dash)

•            Demonstrated collaboration, communication and influencing skills

•            Ability to manage work across multiple projects efficiently
