The Headlines:   

In the role of Water Resources Technician working in Golden, CO you will be part of the Water Resources team.  You will assist in the daily operations and maintenance duties of the Rocky Mountain Water Company "RMWCo" (wholly owned subsidiary of MCBC spanning over 26 miles through metro Denver with 300+ offsite water users) and in the operation and maintenance of the MCBC raw water resources program in Golden, Colorado).

 

This position reports to the Sr Mgr Asset Care & Water Resources Operations and works under the direction of the Sr Water Resources Lead.  This position requires working on a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule, including overtime and some holidays.

 

The Responsibilities: 

 

  • Performs maintenance on water resources systems, and clears canals, waterways, and reservoirs of all debris, brush, trees, and tree limbs.
  • Utilizes powered landscape equipment and chain saws to remove vegetation.
  • Assists RWMCo staff with executing maintenance and emergency repair projects, scheduled maintenance of assets, and fabrication of water systems appurtenances.
  • Performs operational tasks as directed by the Water Resources Lead to ensure an uninterrupted water supply to the Rocky Mountain Ditch, Wannamaker Ditch, and the Golden Brewery.
  • Participates in a 24/7 rotating on-call schedule to monitor and respond to emergency weather and water quality events to protect the Company from flooding, property damage, hazardous waste, trespassing, and electrical outages.

 

 

 The Other Qualifications: 

  • You have a high school diploma or GED
  • You have a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL) w/in first year
    • You can work any shift or schedule and follow specific verbal and written directions   
    • You are proficient and safe in the use of power and hand tools                                
    • You can perform physical activities in and around water that require considerable use of entire body such as climbing, walking, stooping, pulling, lifting and handling of materials while in hip waders
    • You can routinely lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor climates with various environmental factors
    • You reside within a 30-minute driving distance of the Golden Brewery due to on-call requirement
    • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities

Job Posting Salary Range: (US/Colorado) $37,800 - $54,400
