The Headlines:
In the role of Sr. Site Project Engineer working in Golden, CO at Rocky Mountain Metal Container- Cans you will be part of the Technical Services and Engineering department. You will be responsible for developing, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling capital projects from $500k up to $20M. You will work closely with the Engineering, Asset Care and Operations teams to deliver projects from inception to completion. In addition to the project management, this role will also provide a high-level of optimization support to drive improvements.
This position reports to Manager Engineer & Tech Services.
The Responsibilities:
- Develop annual project plan to drive safety improvements, cost savings, spoilage reduction, labor savings, and improved throughput.
- Reduce container manufacturing costs by applying new technology, implementing projects and applying project manager skills of cost control, schedule adherence and assuring benefits.
- Reduce Quality Defects by implementing/testing new technologies to automate current processes and equipment. Drive overall quality improvement coordinating with QC and Operations.
- Increase Production Efficiency through daily Technical Services and Operations support of line issues/improvements, developing projects to improve throughput/OEE, apply asset care processes and testing new technology
- Improve plant safety through focused improvement engineering controls and risk assessment completion.
- Enable new technology deployment through system changes working with operations and technical services matched to plant capabilities. Link 1-to-5-year long range plans for the processes to ongoing business needs.
The Other Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Equivalent experience
- 7 Years Project Management and Project Development Experience (Concept to Completion)
- High Speed Manufacturing Experience Preferably in Beverage Can/End Manufacturing
- 5+ Years Budget Development and Management Experience
- Advanced Computer Skills (Microsoft Applications, SAP, Etc.)
- Advanced AutoCAD or Solid Works or Modeling Software use. Drawing generation, modification, and review capability.

Job Posting Salary Range: (US/Colorado) $115,800 - $166,400
