The Headlines:

 

 In the role of Senior Brewing Specialist working in Golden, CO, you will be part of the Golden Brewery team. The Senior Brewing Specialist coordinates and coaches operational teams to ensure quality products are produced safely and total extract loss (TEL) is minimized by maximizing efficiency, coaches World Class Supply Chain principles and best practices to drive performance through process and continuous improvement, leads problem solving with teams and across department to drive performance, collaborates with upstream and downstream processes to drive efficiency and alignment across the brewery, and performs other duties as assigned by the Sr Process Leader. 

 

The Responsibilities:

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Supports Brewery Safety, Sustainability and Environmental initiatives  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Continually ensures safe practices and policies are followed by team members 
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Leads commitment to safety through participation in and support of safety initiatives as identified 
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Partners with teams and EHS to identify and highlight unsafe work practices and escalate/correct with a sense of urgency 
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Leads operational shift team  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Coordinates resources and coaches team to interface with resources on shift (quality, asset care, etc.)  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Coordinates proper coverage for shift across lines, units and departments; in partnership with the People Starpoint  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Assigns job tasks/duties to shift team members  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Facilitates flow to work across unit/department  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Ensures effective communication across brewery  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Leads team members to carry out operator-based maintenance tasks and participates in pre/post maintenance meetings 
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Coaches continuous improvement and leads problem solving  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Ensures daily production schedule is executed    
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Reviews production schedule for changes and leads the team to execute any changes  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Coordinates beer and materials availability  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Escalates production problems to the Process Leaders  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Enables pre-shift meeting  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Facilitates L1 Structured Communication (SC) meetings to drive performance  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Coaches team on effective shift handovers, according to standards  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Ensures escalation practices/agreements are followed  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Enables Team Capability and Skills Development 
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Partners with Process Leader and Training Specialist to implement training plans  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">On-boards new team members according to the standard onboarding process  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Supports capital improvement projects/initiatives  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Provides knowledge and expertise to capital project planning and implementation  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Acts as liaison between capital project resources and brewing teams

Other Skills and Qualifications:

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), prerequisite programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) 
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Good communication skills – written and verbal  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Strong influencing, coaching, and facilitation skills  
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations 

 

Physical and Working Environment:

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Sr. Specialist work can be strenuous in nature requiring lifting, pushing and pulling forces over 50 lbs. on a regular basis 
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">The work environment is hot, cold, wet, noisy and dusty at times
