Crafted Highlights:  
Golden Brewery is seeking a Rework Coordinator. The position provides inventory, administrative, and material handling support to the Warehouse Operations for disposing of beer, quality holds and quality samples, and support to employee beer sales while performing inventory transactions in SAP to account for product changes.

What You’ll Be Brewing:
Dumping Beer

  1. Stacking, wrapping, counting and transferring dump beer from dumping stations to specified dumping area for outside contractor to pick up.
  2. Stacking, wrapping and transferring filtec reject beer to specified dumping area for outside contractor to pick up
  3. Moving beer dispositioned by Production Services for destruction to specified dump area for pick up by outside contractor.
  4. Dumping handling units in the system that outside contractor turns in when dumping.
  5. Rectifying numbers handwritten by outside contractor and those in system to keep billing from outside contractor accurate.
  6. Keeping dump area clean and free of debris.
  7. Purging dump beer from inventory system daily based on amount physically dumped, including KCR’s.
  8. Sending daily count to outside contractor for billing and distribute copy internally as specified.
  9. Responsible for working with Finance Department on end of the month Financial Destruction Forecast.

Quality Holds

  1. Keeping the FPH log up to date (both SU/BS tab and FPH information tab).
  2. Moving and releasing SU pallets after they have been dispositioned by doing a posting change.
  3. Contacting Quality Department for clarification of holds that have not been dispositioned but are needed to make shipments.
  4. Releasing, blocking, or taking product to dump per disposition from Quality Department.
  5. Moving pallets to sorting area.
  6. Keeping track of pallets when a sort is going on and releasing/destroying them after sort.
  7. Being a liaison between Quality Department and finished goods to help with needs and sorts.  Contacts Unit Managers to determine manpower availability for sorts/destruction.
  8. Contact production planners for work order numbers to provide to outside contractor.

Employee Beer Sales

  1. Coordinate with IPD/HEO for moving beer to Employee Sales area as Production Services releases it in SAP for sale.
  2. Correlating with Production Services for beer out of inventory if needed to satisfy Employee Sales guidelines.
  3. Keeping a good variety of beer on trailer for sale, while also making sure that beer with earlier expiration date goes on trailer first to help avoid dumping good product.
  4. Keeping an accurate count of trailer and sales area.
  5. Keeping trailer and Employee Sales area clean and free of debris.
  6. Making sure that trailer is moved from dock to Employee Sales and back again for loading as needed.
  7. Keeping management informed of large quantities of beer that are close to expiration so that a possible give away or fire sale may be considered.
  8. Creating delivery with beer sold in store three times a week.

Lab Samples

  1. Pull cases of beer from inventory for sampling and transports to Packaging.
  2. Adjust inventory in SAP to account for samples.
  3. As requested, transport pallet cases to shipping for delivery to vendor or other breweries.


Key Ingredients: 

  • Must be 21 years of age or older 
  • High school diploma or GED (higher education or brewing process knowledge is preferred)
  • Fork truck license
  • Knowledge in MS Office
  • Knowledge in SAP
  • Strong capabilities in accuracy of record keeping and data entry
  • Familiarity with KCRs
  • 3+ years of manufacturing or warehouse experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and make decisions in a team based setting
  • Ability to work full-time, all shifts, all schedules, and all days of the week to include weekends and holidays
  • Ability to be called in for emergency coverage and work overtime as necessary
