The Headlines:

The role of Manufacturing Engineering Technician, Electrical is located at the Coors Brewery in Golden, Colorado. You must have the necessary experience, aptitude, and education to perform electrical duties such as set-up, adjustment, troubleshooting, P.M. inspections, overhaul, and make equipment improvements when necessary. You will assist in the training of new employees. You will perform all work in a safe manner demonstrating proper use of safety equipment at all time.

 

You will be responsible for assuring customer satisfaction through identifying, as an individual and as a member of a work unit, the internal and external customers; you will determine the customer needs and means of measurement to deliver mutually agreed upon products/services. You will continually investigate methods to improve customer satisfaction to achieve the ultimate goal of quality relationships. You will support capital project execution and ensure project meets the needs of the operating department. You will also lead small process improvement projects within the department to improve results. 

 

This position is in our Brewing Asset Care & Maintenance department and reports to our Asset Care Manager.

 

The Responsibilities:

 

  • Contributes to a safe work place by performing all tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures, OSHA, EPA, FDA, and GMP guidelines. Such as Lock-Out/Tag-Out/Try-Out, safety rules, confined-space entry, regulations, codes (Building, fire, etc.) and engineering standards
  • Responsible for ensuring a stable, compliant, reliable plant infrastructure in the manufacturing environment
  • On-site administration and technical support for a variety of technologies in a manufacturing environment including: infrastructure(hardware/software), Delta V, 1774, PLC5, SLC500, Intellution iFix3.5, Panel View, Delta-V Controls, Allen-Bradley PLC’s (SLC500, PLC5, Control Logix), HMIs, SCADA (e.g. Rockwell PanelMate, RS Logix 5000, etc.), control system networks - Ethernet, ASI, Cisco Ethernet, Rockwell DataHighway, Profibus, Serial Comms RS-232/-422/-485 etc., reporting, diagnostics, and administrative functions
  • This position will be responsible for 24/7 support of brewing equipment including the management of specific manufacturing processes related to brewing, and in addition to work with Asset Care Engineers to ensure the delivery of projects, initiatives, and contracted services to ensure successful outcomes

  • Complete work as assigned by work orders, and service requests as prioritized

  • During problem escalations, act as a liaison between end customers and escalated support

  • Provide 24x7 off hours support to critical incidents on a rotational schedule

  • Provide technical support to Brewing Department Maintenance team, contractors and consultants as necessary

  • Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting and technical support in personal interaction or via phone, web based tools and email

  • Enable and support technical projects in conjunction with Asset Care Engineers & Optimization engineers

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Engineering Technology or Information Technology is preferred; Equivalent work experience with minimum 3-5 years of experience in a technical support role for Electrical technologies in a manufacturing production environment with fundamental understanding of controls systems, controls networks and Ethernet networks, and Microsoft Windows technologies
    • Advanced degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering may be considered in lieu of minimum work experience
  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED is required
  • Must be a minimum 21 years of age
  • Able to work in a team environment and flow to work
  • Must be proficient in safe in the uses of the following: Test instruments (volt/OHM multi-meters, clamp-on amp meters, meggers, transducers, oscilloscopes and PLC and processor based program/ diagnostic panels)
  • Experienced in the use of hand tools specific to electrical/ electronic/controls field as well as mechanical hand tools
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints and schematics; must also be familiar with editing of blueprints and schematics
  • Solid experience in problem analysis and resolution of hardware and/or software problems
  • Must excel in a fast paced, agile environment where critical thinking and strong problem solving skills are required for success
  • Be an innovative thinker who is positive, proactive, and readily embraces change provide skills training and work instruction certification, in primary craft to trainees, peers and operation personnel
  • Must have strong interpersonal effectiveness, as well as, strong written and verbal skills

Job Posting Hourly Rate: $39.82
