The Headlines: 

In the role of a Manufacturing Engineer Technician at the Coors Brewery in Golden Colorado you will be part of the Utilities Team in Production Operations. Our maintenance team is the lifeblood that keeps our brewery going. You will be responsible for playing an important role in ensuring that our production facility is running smoothly so we can make as much of our great beer as possible. You will assist in keeping the plant’s electrical and controls systems operating properly and at their utmost efficiency by providing electrical and controls technical support, both proactive and reactive, for all of the electrical and controls systems within Utilities by being the Subject Matter Expert on these systems. 

 

 This position reports to the unit manager in Utilities, and will support our Water Treatment Plan, 2 Waste water treatment plants, and our central utilities operation.

 

The Responsibilities:

  • Skilled in working relationships, team building and communication with all levels of plant personnel.
  • Understand and implement modern technologies, including electrical components, communication systems and control systems. Should be able to upgrade obsolete components with modern equivalents.
  • Work with project teams to ensure good engineering design methods and operational parameters. Able to provide feedback to plant engineering, maintenance and operations management on problem solutions and steps required to avoid future problems.
  • Must be able to minimize production downtime using effective and efficient multi-craft, troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively under pressure with the skills required to analyze and solve problems and implement technical solutions. Able to make accurate decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Has advanced understanding of process optimization.
  • You will be the department SME in programming, troubleshooting and diagnostic repair of controls systems used in the department (such as Communication protocol, Delta V, PLC5, SLC500, Intellution iFix3.5, Panel View software, current and legacy OI MCS, ControlLogix).
  • Responsible for the training and Development of Utilities Instrument and Controls Electricians.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • You have a high school diploma or a GED and you are at least 21 years of age
  • At least 5 years as Electrical / Controls Technician. 7+ years preferred.
  • Advanced electrical experience in an industrial setting.
  • As part of the recruitment process, the candidates will be required to provide consent to complete a background check.
  • You have a high school diploma or a GED and you  are at least 21 years of age
  • You have Education / certification post high school in electrical / controls discipline
  • This individual should be highly proficient with industrial and predictive technologies in the manufacturing environment and have the ability to conduct training classes.
  • Individual should have a passion for accurate documentation and have good functional skills with Team Center, SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • You are serious about delivering results, and take pride in a proven track record in delivering
