The Headlines

 

In the role of an Instrumentation Controls Electrician working at the Coors Brewery in Golden Colorado you will be part of the Malting TeamAs the great Bill Coors stated, “Barley is to Beer as Grapes are to Wine”, the Malting team is the heart of our brews. You will be responsible for playing an important role in ensuring that our production facility is running smoothly so we can make as much of our great malt as possible to ensure that all our US breweries are able to make as much of our great beer as possible.

 

This position reports to the Malting Equipment Specialist Team Leader, and works alongside our leadership, operational and maintenance teams in the Malting Department.

 

The Responsibilities:

  • Leads other ICE Technicians on a shift-to-shift basis alongside the Mechanical Senior Specialist, ensuring work orders and breakdowns are complete and to standard.
  • Supports Production Specialists and Maintenance Technicians by coaching/mentoring equipment owners, equipment experts, developing SOP’s and help implementing DMS’s that are in process.
  • Be a contributing member of the PM Pillar and owning a DMS in order to meet site CBN and Zero Loss Journey goals.
  • Evaluate problems and generate options to find actionable practical solutions as well as acting as a resource for operational and maintenance teams when electrical/control issues occur.
  • Perform set-up, adjustment, timing, troubleshooting, replacement and programming of electrical equipment with some minor mechanical work as well.
  • Perform Electrical, Electrical Controls, and Instrumentation Control duties and some mechanical duties such as set-up, adjustment, calibration, tuning, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance inspections and overhauls.
  • Dismantle, inspect and rebuild electrical assemblies to insure conformance to specifications or production requirements.
  • This role works a “4x4 Day Shift” schedule which consists of 4 consecutive 12-hour days, followed by 4 consecutive days off.
     

The Other Qualifications –

  • Industrial Journeyman level or on-the-job experience with heavy industrial Electrical, Electrical Controls, Instrumentation and PLC’s.
  • You must also be proficient troubleshooting electrical controls, PLC programs and processor based program/diagnostic panels.
  • Experience with PLC 5, SLC500 and Contrologix.
  • ISA CCST Level 1 certificate with the ability to achieve a Level 2 certificate within one year.
  • Ability to progress to ICE Level 3 within 2 years.
  • You are serious about, and take pride in a proven track record of delivering results.
  • You have a high school diploma or a GED.
  • You are at least 21 years of age.
