Crafted Highlights:
In the role of Garage Senior Specialist at the Golden Brewery, you will oversee the maintenance of MCBC fleet equipment, including diesel and gas engines, locomotives, trailers, and boxcars. This role ensures fleet reliability, safe operations, and the efficient movement of supplies and products throughout the valley. Primary responsibilities include heavy-duty equipment maintenance, shop coordination, and managing equipment lease repairs as needed.
What You'll Be Brewing:
- Apply World Class Supply Chain tools and data-driven problem solving to improve fleet reliability, eliminate waste, and optimize maintenance processes.
- Promote and support a culture of safety, zero injuries, and continuous improvement.
- Lead, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance activities in a fast-paced team environment.
- Coordinate lease repairs with external vendors and maintain MCBC heavy-duty tractors used by 3PL providers throughout the valley and CDC.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on locomotives and heavy equipment, including front-end loaders, backhoes, and forklifts.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on light-duty equipment, including pickups and generators, as needed.
- Plan, schedule, and maintain preventive maintenance programs, work orders, procurement activities, and equipment records in SAP.
- Provide back-up support for trailer and boxcar maintenance as needed.
- Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on fleet equipment, including air and hydraulic systems, tires, driveline components, steering, suspension, electrical systems, and refrigeration units.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while responding quickly and professionally to production needs.
- Make technical decisions based on journeyman-level or diesel mechanic expertise and experience.
- Coordinate garage material flow to ensure scheduled work is completed efficiently, within budget, and with the correct parts and materials.
- Operate equipment and machinery to verify proper installation, repairs, and functionality.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies while fostering a safe work environment.
- Train and mentor team members on proper equipment use, tools, and maintenance techniques.
- Manage environmentally regulated chemicals and ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal.
- Follow all waste accumulation, hazardous waste handling, and Hazard Communication requirements, including understanding associated hazards and emergency response procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Ingredients:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to perform all duties of a fleet heavy equipment mechanic
- Journeyman heavy equipment diesel mechanic
- CDL license preferred
- D.O.T. Welding certificates preferred
- Leadership experience in a fleet management environment preferred
