In the role of a Maintenance Electrician, you will be part of the Maintenance Team in the Packaging Department.  You will work in an union environment at our Ft. Worth Brewery.   Successful candidates will contribute to the overall department team by routinely operating and maintaining equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring equipment is well maintained and runs efficiently with few breakdowns. This will include working with PLC’s, VFD’s, motor control installation/ troubleshooting, and working with power up to and including 480 volts. You will also be responsible for supporting the technical growth of our operators. This position will report to our maintenance team leader and will initially be assigned to 2nd or 3rd shift. Must be available to work nights and weekends.

 

Strike contingency pay is 35.96/hr, plus $200 weekly if all shifts are completed. This is only a temporary assignment.

 

The Responsibilities:

  • Perform set-up, adjustment, timing, troubleshooting, replacement and programming of electrical equipment using ladder logic, electrical prints and/or schematics.
  • Dismantle, inspect and rebuild electrical assemblies to ensure conformance to specifications or production requirements.
  • Perform mechanical duties such as calibrating, tuning, troubleshooting, fixing and improving equipment.
  • Perform predictive and corrective maintenance during planned maintenance windows and unplanned downtime events throughout the shift.
  • Complete root cause analysis/ breakdown elimination activities for all failures and implement corrective actions to prevent similar failures in the future.
  • Operate equipment to understand functionality and balanced line flow, and routinely as needed.
  • Provide technical support when called upon, to management, engineers, and contractors/ project teams.
  • Understand the principles of product quality control, balanced line flow and is proactive in verifying that repair work and modifications support the achievement of these goals.

 

The Other Qualifications:

  • At least four years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a team based, high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • You have a high school diploma or a GED, and you are at least 21 years of age.
