Crafted Highlights:
As Senior Project Engineer in Elkton, VA, you'll join our Technical Services Department, managing a portfolio of several concurrent capital projects ranging from $100K to $20M, that have a high degree of variability and multi-tasking requirements. This is a highly technical, hands-on engineering role. We're looking for someone with strong mechanical or electrical engineering depth. This position reports to the Engineering Manager and works closely with operations.
What You'll Be Brewing:
- Provide technical support to our operations and support teams across the brewery
- Assemble and present the project business case for approval — scope, financial analysis, benefits, and schedule
- Lead capital projects from initial design through production launch and factory acceptance testing
- Work with consulting engineering firms and construction managers on bids, procurement, and construction
- Identify Value Engineering opportunities during design reviews to deliver the best solution at optimal cost, while minimizing disruption to operations
- Control scope, schedule, cost, and quality — with safety as the top priority
- Maintain monthly forecasts of project expenditures and the Estimate at Completion
- Conduct start-up audits and validate performance guarantees on installed equipment
- Build solid relationships with department and area leaders and create a strong communication matrix
- Ability to give precise technical presentations to different group levels (from hourly teams to high level Senior leadership)
Key Ingredients:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering or 10-15 years' experience in engineering management experience
- Project manage several different projects while assisting building businesses cases for future projects
- 7+ years of cumulative experience in capital project management or process engineering in a manufacturing environment
- Advanced, multi-disciplinary technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering methods
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred, but not required
- Experience in a fast paced food and beverage environment preferred, but not required
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence project teams, contractors, and consulting engineers
- Ability to multi-task and perform in high pressure situations
- A champion for safety and following/enforcing all MCBC, OSHA, and general safety policies and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, P&IDs, and technical information or formulas
- You have a thirst for learning and thrive on solving complex technical problems

Pay and Benefits:
At Molson Coors, we’re committed to paying people fairly and equitably for the work they do.
Job Posting Total Rewards Offerings: $109,100.00 - $143,200.00 (posting salary range) + 15% target short term incentive + $23,000 on average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above market employer match, wellness incentives and EAP + paid time off (including holidays, vacation days and sick days).
The posting range provided above for salary is what we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
