In the role of Sr. Line Lead-Packaging working Elkton, VA you will be part of the Packaging Team. You will independently lead and coach a 24-hour operation successfully implementing World Class strategies and principles to deliver great tasting beer to our customers. The Sr. Line Lead position is supported by a Process Lead who is responsible for data collection and continuous improvement and a Maintenance Lead responsible for executing the asset care strategy for the line.
The Sr. Line Lead position reports directly to the Sr. Mgr. Operations - Packaging and is a member of the Packaging Leadership Team helping to develop the long-term goals and strategies for the packaging organization. You will lead Packaging operations of your line towards the vision of a high-performance team culture and drive change management initiatives to continually improve both plant and process operations to meet World Class Standards.
What Youll Be Brewing:
- Develop and lead execution of the Line 90-Day Plans to address losses and build capability. Acts as a point of contact and champion for longer-term problem-solving activities. Create a system to transfer ownership of these activities to the team(s)
- Develops, manages, and deploys masterplans for multiple lines or areas.
- On the floor coaching: DMS execution, loss elimination, and skill development/technical mastery. Coach and mentor team to deliver departmental KPIs the right way, aligned to the World Class Supply Chain pillars. Identify talent needs and develop plans to close gaps.
- Leads and executes the line DDS (Daily Direction Setting) meetings and provides coaching to Shift Managers and team members in the shift exchange DDS meeting. Ensuring prioritization and execution for the actionable items for that day. Owns the DDS Safety & Quality Triggers, CIL DMS & Defect Handling DMS.Develop and maintain a staffing plan for your line to ensure all business needs are met while adhering to budget.
- Leads the execution of various safety, cost, quality, efficiency and technical aspects of the assigned brewing operation and associated equipment. Develops capability within the team including reliable operation of that equipment by leading team to understand and execute maintenance concepts for installed equipment including asset care routines and practices.
Key Ingredients:
- Ability to build, lead and manage a team (e.g., talent and performance management, feedback and coaching)
- Thorough knowledge of the interrelationships between the Brewing, Packaging, Supply Chain, Quality Services, and Maintenance departments as it relates to the product movement and production scheduling.
- Understands and is able to apply the principles and practices of Molson Coors World Class Supply Chain
- Ability to analyze data and recognize detrimental trends that could impact the company through increased costs, potential regulatory issues or risk management impact. Adaptive to learn and use MCMS for data management, tracking and traceability. Business acumen and basic strategic thinking to anticipate and respond to future needs of the organization.
- Knowledge and demonstrated capability of SAP.
- Possesses basic machinery/system technical troubleshooting skills and knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems. Understands planning and scheduling techniques associated with asset care management. Experience with process operations and its equipment including awareness of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) routines and practices and focused on eliminating defects and maximizing machine availability.
- Exhibits the flexibility needed to respond to frequent changes in production requirements and/or systems and equipment failures.
- Able to effectively lead a diverse workforce composed of production and maintenance personnel establishing production priorities based on current demands.
- Familiarity with process control systems, computerized data logging systems and production database operations, mechanical systems dynamics and basic electrical systems. This includes the components of the various systems such as pumps, valves, timers, relays, drives, fans, etc.
- BS or BA degree in Business, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.

Pay and Benefits:
At Molson Coors, we’re committed to paying people fairly and equitably for the work they do.
Job Posting Total Rewards Offerings: $94,600.00 - $124,200.00 (posting salary range) + 15% target short term incentive + $23,000 on average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above market employer match, wellness incentives and EAP + paid time off (including holidays, vacation days and sick days).
The posting range provided above for salary is what we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We ultimately pay based on a number of non-discriminatory factors that inform pay decisions including but not limited to the required work location, previous work experience, skill set and internal equity.
