Crafted Highlights:    

The Material Handler - Packaging position operates forklift while continually investigating methods to improve the process, support internal customers, and maintain accurate Packaging Material inventories. 

 

This position will report to Line Leader – Packaging.  

 

What You’ll Be Brewing:  

  • Must be able to track material needs of Packaging Lines while in production. 
  • Maintains accurate and legible documentation and records. 
  • Responsible for utilizing forklift to move material and/or waste hoppers. 
  • Responsible for performing daily fork truck checklists at the beginning of every shift. 
  • Responsible for checking battery with hydrometer and changing battery as needed. 
  • Responsible for loading materials from trucks and floor storage locations. 
  • Responsible for inspecting the condition of materials being utilized in Packaging 
  • Responsible for operating Packaging Equipment. 
  • Assist with changeovers and complete/close preventative maintenance activities.
  • Responsible for utilizing RF Unit and SAP system. 
  • Performs housekeeping as required to maintain a safe and clean work place. 
  • Responsible for communicating and coordinating activities with maintenance and other specialists as required. 
  • Responsible for assisting management with process changes and adjustments to standard operating procedures. 
  • Responsible for and dedicated to personal and team safety in relation to completion of tasks and duties. 
  • Responsible for and dedicated to quality in relation to completion of tasks and duties. 
  • Responsible for adherence to published schedules and knowledge/expertise to make solid business decisions on shift basis, in modification of schedule as required. 

  

Key Ingredients:   

  • Highschool education or equivalent required 
  • Fork truck license 
  • Knowledge of RF device(s) and warehouse inventory system(s) 
  • Prior knowledge of SAP preferred 
  • 1-3 years of warehouse or manufacturing experience 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and make decisions in a team based setting. 
  • Ability to work full-time, all shifts, all schedules, and all days of the week to include weekends and holidays 
  • Ability to be called in for emergency coverage and work overtime as necessary 
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities 
  • You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome
