The Headlines:   

In the role of Manager Asset Care working in Elkton, VA you will be part of the Packaging Department. You will plan and execute Asset Care strategy.  You will oversee optimal functioning, continual upgrading and acquisition of equipment/technology while supporting capital projects. 

 

You will manage the Packaging Maintenance teams and assist the plant in performance execution by analyzing problems, formulating a practical solution, and procuring/installing necessary components to advance and optimize the operation.   

 This position reports to the Senior Manager of Operations - Packaging and works closely with the Plant Leadership Team, Skilled Trades and Operators.

 

The Responsibilities: 

  • Most importantly, you will lead a team of 20+ talented colleagues, and support their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one on one conversations
  • Drives functional problem solving, equipment improvement, process, and technology improvement. 
  • Develops OEM relationships 
  • Coordinate engineering requirements through capital planning 
  • Manages data and analytics related to department priorities and related systems 
  • Responsible for the safety and quality of our products by adhering to all rules, regulations, policies, programs   

 

The Other Qualifications:

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Maintenance or equivalent experience (4+ years) in an Engineering/Maintenance leadership/managerial position in a manufacturing environment 
  • Possess a proven track record of achievement in a high speed, high volume manufacturing environment  
  • Demonstrable evidence of driving World Class Supply Initiatives to deliver on challenging objectives   
  • It will be a plus if you also have the following certifications: CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional) and or MMS (Maintenance Management Systems)  
  • You have experience with complex budgets 
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities
  • You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome  
  • You take accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments  
  • You have a thirst for learning – you are always looking for ways to learn and help one another grow
