Job Summary

 

A Receiving Operator ensures the safe and efficient receipt, storage and distribution of the company’s products (cases and kegs) using forklifts a in a fast-paced environment.

 

Major Functions

 

1. Warehouse Systems & Forklift Operation

  • Any receiving employee may be assigned to any of the following general tasks:
    • The unloading and/or loading of delivery vehicles by ensuring the correct product is received and/or loaded.
    • Delivery truck check in: ensuring appointment and proper paperwork prior to receiving load.
    • The receiving and unloading of product to be placed into inventory. This product may be received from an Over-The-Road truck or local truck.
    • Shipping out distributor orders, dunnage (empties), pallets, etc. and ensuring there is proper paperwork with each load.
    • Replenishment: Forklift operation to load pallets of product into identified locations with proper stacking and rotation of products.
    • Loading: moving pallets of beer into the system towers and/or HSPA.
    • Receiving: Checking completed pallets of product for accuracy and adding / subtracting any additional pallets / cases as required.
    • Kegs – unloading of kegs and properly receiving and replenishing/rotating in the cooler.
    • Floor scrubber – sweep and scrub floors as needed (must be trained and certified to drive scrubber)
  • Manage inventory movements through EasyOps whenever receiving or moving product to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Troubleshoot missing or lost product with Inventory department.
  • Receive all breakage by properly filling out a claim form to verify that all is written off or accounted for by the inventory technician.

 

2. Safety & Quality Assurance

  • Understand and follow quality assurance standards to ensure proper product rotation so the earliest dates are shipped out first
  • Responsible for conducting a daily pre and post-shift inspection of assigned vehicle(s) to ensure safe operation and proper maintenance of the equipment
  • Apply safe work standards in all tasks to minimize risk of injury or damage to property and inventory
  • Verify that all repacked product is meeting brewery quality standards
  • Must comply with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) laws and regulations along with Coors Distributing Company Policies and Procedures

 

Knowledge and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in the English language
  • Must be capable of passing Coors Distributing Company’s certification for warehouse equipment (forklift and/or Walkie-rider)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Previous forklift experience required, minimum 2 years
  • 2+ years of prior warehouse experience preferred

 

Working conditions

 

· Monday – Friday, 5:00am – 1:30pm - shift and hours may be subject to change based on company demands. Peak season shift could be up to 12 hours.

· Position requires physical presence within CDC

 

Physical requirements

 

  • All tasks within the warehouse are physically demanding and labor-intensive, and candidates must pass warehouse Physical Abilities Test, including:
  • Lifting up to 30 pounds frequently
  • Lifting up to 165 pounds occasionally

Job Posting Hourly Rate: $21.75
