Coors Distributing Company (CDC) is one of the nation’s leading beer distributors based out of Denver, CO. We are the critical link between our brewery suppliers that produce the beer and the retail outlets where they are sold, as well as the restaurants and bars where they are consumed. We were founded in 1971 and became a MillerCoors LLC in 2008 as part of the joint venture between Miller Brewing Company and Coors Brewing Company, and we remain the only company owned distributor for Molson Coors Beverage Company. Major brand acquisitions occurred in January of 2010 making Coors Distributing Company one of the top 25 largest beer distributors in the country with over 30 suppliers, roughly 14 million cases per year, and nearly 400 employees.

 

In the role of HR Associate, you are responsible for providing support to the HR team in the form of HR process management, communications, reporting, report automation, administrative support, and event coordination. This role will also support aspects of the EHS functions at the CDC.  This individual assists in ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety program standards. 

 

This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.

 

The Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment & Onboarding Support (30%)
  • New Hire Orientation
    • Facilitator scheduling
    • New Hire communication / create first day preparation packets
    • Ensure New Hire paperwork completion, badge creation, and I-9 Processing
    • Onboarding support to Managers, including facilitation of onboarding process, probationary period reviews and creation of standard onboarding tools to support employees and leaders across all functions
    • Facilitates new hire orientation safety training components, in addition ongoing new hire safety onboarding follow up.
  • Recruitment Support
    • Interview Scheduling / Support
    • Review and follow up on background check and drug screen statuses with vendor or candidate.
    • Partners with Digital Communications Specialist on utilization of Social Media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Glassdoor) for recruitment related purposes
    • Assists with local recruitment efforts on campus, workforce centers, job fairs, etc.

 

  1. HR Support (30%)
    • HRIS Support (ticket submittals, facilitate promotions/transfers, maintains data integrity, assists with employee self-service for address changes, password resets, etc.)
    • Leave of Absence Administrator for CDC on non-work-related absences/illnesses such as STD, FMLA, Funeral Leave, Jury Duty, etc. and Workers Compensation absence support
    • Internal Communication Support (Promotion/Anniversary/New Hire Announcements, Events, HR Notifications, etc.)
    • Assistance with general HR questions
    • Provides Employment Verifications
    • Employee File Management

 

  1. Safety Training (20%)
    1. Creates, updates and presents specialized safety education and training materials.
    2. Maintains up-to-date records of OSHA required trainings for all employees. 
    3. Assists EHS Manager with Ergonomics Safety training process.
    4. Backup for EHS Manager for required training

 

  1. Safety Program Execution (20%)
    1. Assist with Target Zero Team and partners with all Safety Teams to execute goals and objectives outlined annually and report out on safety team results regularly. 
    2. Assists with regular safety metrics to highlight successes, employee spotlights and any other opportunities to showcase CDC’s safety program. 
    3. Leads effort to track and communicate safety performance metrics as part the target zero near miss program.
    4. Assists EHS Manager with safety related projects, as needed.

 

The Other Qualifications: 

  • HR and EHS experience required
  • 1-2 years of previous Recruitment or Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge with OSHA regulations and guidelines
  • Experience with ergonomics/proper body mechanics techniques.
  • Aptitude for teaching/coaching and facilitating training in both small and large groups
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate with all levels of the organization in a professional, tactful and pleasant manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside customers and vendors.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy; must be able to work without direct supervision of daily activities.
  • Time management skills are essential, to ensure timely response to candidates, customers, and the team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a variety of tasks at the same time.
     
  • Ability to responsibly manage and maintain confidential and/or sensitive information.  
  • Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite; must be an expert in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

 

Job Posting Salary Range: [[$48,000 - $59,000]]
