The Headlines:
In the position of Graphic Designer working in Denver, CO, you will be responsible for creating imaginative, eye-catching signage and creative assets that support sales initiatives, customer engagement, and brand visibility across the market. This role is responsible for developing print and digital designs, ensuring compliance with supplier brand standards, CDC guidelines, and applicable liquor advertising regulations.
CDC's Sign Shop produces approximately 150,000 signs annually, requiring strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality design standards and brand consistency. In addition to design responsibilities, this role supports printing operations and serves as a brand expert for assigned supplier partners.
This position reports to the Sign Shop Supervisor and collaborates closely with the Marketing Activation Team, Sales Team, Supplier Representatives, and other members of the Marketing department.
The Responsibilities:
- Design creative signage, point-of-sale materials, and digital assets using CorelDRAW and Adobe Creative Suite
- Create layouts for print and digital requests while ensuring brand consistency and design excellence
- Develop signage that complies with Colorado liquor laws, supplier guidelines, and CDC standards
- Partner with the Marketing Activation team to develop display enhancer materials, contest signage, and promotional assets
- Prioritize projects effectively to ensure all assignments are completed within established timelines
- Review and proof designs before production to minimize errors, reprints, and material waste
- Create custom designs to support large-scale events, special promotions, and unique customer needs
- Design large-format projects and collaborate with Sales Representatives to obtain approvals when required
- Stay current on creative software, design trends, supplier brand standards, and industry regulations
- Support locally developed marketing initiatives through original creative development
- Operate and support printing equipment, including HP R2000, HP Latex, Xerox Small Format printers, and related production software
- Meet standard turnaround expectations for sign completion and production requests
- Track completed designs, production output, and inventory reporting
- Serve as the brand standards expert for assigned supplier partners
- Maintain current supplier files, fonts, creative assets, and brand guidelines
- Educate teammates on supplier branding requirements and approved creative standards
- Build productive relationships with supplier representatives and participate in planning discussions
- Attend sales, marketing, and team meetings to stay informed about products, promotions, and business priorities
The Other Qualifications:
- Degree in Graphic Design or a related field preferred
- 1-2 years of graphic design, signage production, or printing experience preferred
- Strong proficiency in graphic design principles and creative problem solving
- Experience with CorelDRAW and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
- Experience with HP printers, Onyx Production House, and HP Flexi Print preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- High level of personal accountability and results orientation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external supplier partners
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining deadlines
- Position requires physical presence within Coors Distributing Company
