Crafted Highlights: 
The Mechanical Senior Specialist in Golden, CO, is a highly autonomous role that supports the execution of the plant’s overall asset care program by informally leading the day-to-day direction of a team of mechanics and instrumentation & controls electricians. The successful candidate will work effectively and collaboratively with department leadership to drive long term goals, while driving their team's execution scheduled work plan with appropriate prioritization and response to unplanned activities such as equipment breakdowns and vendor support. The individual will coordinate the staffing and the flow of manpower to limit safety & quality risks, while driving a reduction in unplanned downtime. A strong technical skillset, in particular with electrical instrumentation and programming controls, is necessary to guide and coach their team through more advanced equipment reliability issues.


What You’ll Be Brewing: 

  • Oversee the weekly execution of a planned work schedule for mechanical and electrical crafts. Liaise between craft technicians and the leadership team. Support work execution as available based on background, skillset, and qualifications. Qualification emphasis on electrical instrumentation and programming controls. Oversee schedule of team and coordinate staffing to meet production and planned maintenance demands.
  • Support department maintenance leads with the planning and scheduling process, including scope definitions, required job execution times, and resource utilization. Signoff on safe work permits and coordinate with contractors during onsite work.
  • Work with operational teams to understand changing plant conditions and reprioritize work and resources appropriately. Partial ownership of emergency breakdown parts procurement and sourcing, including overnight and on the weekend.
     

Key Ingredients: 

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in electrical & PLC troubleshooting and repair experience, preferred to also have mechanical experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of SAP: Notifications, Work Orders, Bills of Material, Processing, Etc.
  • Preferred competency in electrical, instrumentation, & control system troubleshooting and repair, plus to have mechanical experience as well.
  • Demonstrated competency in collaborative teamwork - specifically between operations and maint.
  • Demonstrated competency in informal leadership.
  • Demonstrated safety leader, including coaching and leading by example through use of safe work tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Golden Brewery processes and associated equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with mechanical and electrical crafts.
  • Ability and willingness to work on a rotating schedule. (12-hr shifts, 4 Days On, 4 Days Off)
  • Flexible and willing to shuffle priorities around as the business dictates.
