The Headlines:   

In the role of Sr. Manager Shopper Marketing - eCommerce based in Chicago, IL, you will manage a team of Customer Marketing Managers and Associate Marketing Managers. You will be a part of the eCommerce team in the Digital and Media Organization supporting B2C retail eCommerce in US and CA.

 

The Senior Marketing Manager will develop our eCommerce brand and customer marketing strategy for our portfolio across B2C eCommerce (retailer to consumer selling).  The SMM will co lead our annual customer plans and build our framework to deliver brand solutions in eCommerce. You will lead best in class PDP content to improve product discovery and conversion at retail. You will own the agency relationship to effectively execute our retail media and merch plans at strategic 3P and Pureplay accounts. You will lead your team to build eCom org capabilities to advance our ambition in US and CA. 

 

This position reports to the Sr Director – NA eCommerce and works very closely with internal and external stakeholders through the value chain to deliver solutions that drive growth for our retailers and grow MCBC’s share of category and channel.

 

The Responsibilities: 

  • Develop our 3P and Pureplay B2C marketing strategy, ensuring its alignment across eCommerce, brand, and corporate priorities
  • Lead our Product Detail Page (PDP) and Content strategy to ensure our brands are merchandised to drive discovery and conversion on retailer websites
  • Own our eCommerce agency scopes inclusive of budgets, deliverables, and prioritization
  • Support sales in building Joint Business Plans (JBP) to secure strategic alignment for customer and MCBC initiatives to drive category growth
  • You will lead Customer Marketing Managers (CMMs) in the execution of customer plans, retail media, and supporting JBP media negotiations
  • You will lead the Associate Marketing Managers (AMMs) in the development of Content and Branded Solutions through an understanding of brand strategies and their link to eCommerce channel/class of trade strategies
  • You will advance eCommerce marketing capabilities across the organization; inclusive of 3P development in Canada
  • You will determine the appropriate customer dollars and agency hours and ensure the deliberate management and reporting of dollar spend and usage of agency hours
  • You will support data and marketing measurement processes to advance eCommerce performance, including close collaboration with agency and retail media teams
  • You will attract, lead, manage, and mentor a diverse team in such a way to ensure development, superior performance and retention of talent

 

 The Other Qualifications:  

  • You have at least 7 years of related sales or marketing experience for a leading CPG organization and have proven team leadership abilities
  • You have strong digital media and/or retail media acumen, inclusive of SEO, sponsored products, shoppable banners, etc
  • Understand eCommerce CPG landscape including key platforms in grocery and convenience
  • You understand the drivers of the digital shelf and how to influence better placement of products on retailer sites
  • You are a skilled negotiator with customer, agency, or media partners
  • You can demonstrate confidence and success and in an ambiguous and dynamic environment
  • You have experience managing people and/or led cross functional projects or trained and drove adoption in new capabilities
  • Your constant curiosity fosters an innovative style and can equally execute ideas given to you.
  • You have experience collaborating with sales on the implementation of customer programs and building annual customer plans
  • You love a challenge – you complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities
  • You are confident and competent – you are diplomatic, professional, and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships within the business
