The Headlines:    


The senior manager – marketing innovations oversees and leads high performance innovation projects designed to help achieve the company’s growth targets for Molsoncoors’ brands.


This role is a part of the Marketing organization specifically on the Innovations team where you’ll be a part of identifying and developing new product ideas to meet consumer needs and managing projects from idea conception to market launch.  This position develops new product and/or packaging ideas and innovations for our current key brands or new entry brands, driving projects through the stage gate process and developing robust business cases that align with brand strategies and positionings. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the up-front research/consumer insights, concept and product development, packaging development, and initial business case development; to set up successful commercialization. Monitor global product and packaging trends within and across categories and incorporate trends into new concepts, ideas, designs, and packaging. Translates strategies into long-range, sustainable commercial success and business growth, as well as aligning and exciting the organization behind these initiatives. Responsibilities include identifying and developing new products and end-to-end project management throughout the project(s) life cycle, from conceptualization to commercialization.

This position also manages a team of associates that support new product or package innovations.



The Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and build white space opportunities that align with Molsoncoors portfolio strategy
  • Ensure strategic alignment across channel and cross functional teams
  • Maintain brand role in all programming to ensure brand identity is compelling and consistent
  • Provide clear direction on programming, promotions, and POS strategy to fit brand needs
  • Work with sales operations and distributor sales organization to build compelling commercial cases for innovations projects
  • Attract, lead, manage, and mentor employees in such a way to ensure retention, development, and superior performance of talent
  • Provide coaching and development of team members on a consistent basis
  • Provide annual and midyear reviews to each team member
  • Sell marketing concepts and programming to stakeholders and execute against the strategy
  • Provide clear direction regarding strategy and execution and ensure team stays on track
  • Provide clear direction and demonstrate leadership through meeting timelines
  • Ensure all timelines are met and information is complete
  • Manage and execute defined  programs for single brand, smaller group of brands, or new entry brand
  • Determine appropriate budget dollars for time needed, people resources, agency resources and disburse those dollars appropriately


The Other Qualifications:  


  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent experience (5+ years) in the field of CPG Marketing  
  • Experience in managing the creative process with agency partners and integrating insights.
  • Experience conducting financial and business analysis and retrieving and analyzing data.
  • Experience with new product development and stage gate process
  • Planning, budgeting and organizational skills.
  • Creativity and innovative thinking.
  • Strategic insight and analytical rigor.
  • Comfort in driving innovation and prudent risk taking.
