The Senior Manager – Marketing Innovation oversees and leads high impact innovation workstreams designed to help achieve the company’s growth ambitions. This position will lead innovation for partner and M&A alcohol brands, develop new product and/or packaging ideas, and support special strategic projects.  

This person will lead a team to deliver innovation efforts from idea to fully realized new products through a stage gate process. Along the way, they'll leverage strategic capability, consumer insights, creativity, creative problem solving, project management and business acumen to build compelling consumer-centered innovations with liquid, packaging and sell stories, all supported with robust business cases.  

This person should help deepen our understanding and inspire new thinking by monitoring macro trends and competitive activity in partnership with insights, brand and sales. The sr. manager – marketing innovation will also be accountable for building compelling narratives that drive excitement and galvanize the organization and customers behind new innovations. This position manages a team 2 associates and is responsible for coaching and developing the talent on their team.  

The ideal candid will be highly strategic, a great collaborator, and have a degree of accountability coupled with a track record of advancing projects from ambiguity to concrete results.

  • Working with Innovation Sr Director to identify whitespace and translate into meaningful value generating new product ideas that drive incrementality and profitability. 

  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external partners.  

  • Lead two AMMs and enables and inspires team to deliver great work.  

  • Drive end to end strategic innovation and build 3-year pipeline of fresh business building ideas that drive incremental growth for our portfolio, align with commercial strategy and solve for unmet consumer needs. 

  • Lead cross functional team in successful development and execution of end to end innovation process. 

  • Leads and manages the Stage-Gate and prioritization process for innovation for designated segment responsibilities. 

  • Uses process acumen to find ways to drive continuous process improvement, simplify business practices and reduce complexity. 

  • Works closely with brand business partners to ensure strategic alignment of new ideas.    

  • Strong people leader: Attracts, leads, manages, and mentors employees in such a way to ensure retention, development, and superior performance of talent, positively impacts team culture. 

  • Clearly communicates innovation strategies that link to go-to-market strategies and applies them to project development and commercialization. 

  • Ability to provide clear thinking to work through ambiguous situations. 

 

Key Ingredients: 

 

  • 5+ years of brand management experience (within CPG) 

  • Bachelor or master’s degree preferred in business or marketing 

  • Three-tier distribution system experience is desirable but not required 

  • Ability to connect marketing strategy to customer needs and execution 

  • Must have a high level of curiosity about the innovation, the beverage industry consumers, and products 

  • Strong people management skills & communication skills, assumes high level of accountability

Job Posting Total Rewards Offerings$146,800.00 - $192,700.00 (posting salary range) + 20target short term incentive +  target long term incentive + $23,000 on average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above market employer match, wellness incentives and EAP + paid time off (including holidays, vacation days and sick days).


The posting range provided above for salary is what we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We ultimately pay based on a number of non-discriminatory factors that inform pay decisions including but not limited to the required work location, previous work experience, skill set and internal equity.
