The Headlines:

As the Senior Director, Brand Marketing (Miller Lite,) you are a brand champion and own the overall brand strategy, positioning, and activation for Miller Lite. You will ensure the strategic integrity within the total brand portfolio, and within the beer category. You will be responsible for Miller Lite’s delivery against the company’s strategic, volumetric, and financial goals annually as well as in the long-term ability to meet three-year brand equity targets.

 

The role is based in Chicago, Illinois and reports directly to the VP of the Miller Family of Brands. You will lead the Miller Lite brand team and collaborate with internal and external partners frequently.

 

 

The Responsibilities:

  • Leads and directs external and internal resources through the value chain to deliver on strategic intent
  • Responsible for integration into the broader organization ensuring integrity of marketing programming and messaging from conception through execution links highly with brand positioning, while retaining the ability to react to competitor and market conditions
  • Defines strategic direction for assigned portfolio
  • Responsible for resource allocation, financial planning, and leads portfolio’s annual planning process
  • Clearly communicates all portfolio programs, provides clear direction, and demonstrates leadership
  • Understands the brand strategies, link to channel strategies, and ensures they are applied to the development of brand interventions
  • Achieve volume, profit, and brand health targets, and drive execution across all elements of marketing mix

 

The Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably Post Graduate qualification in Marketing/Business  
  • 10+ years of related experience; CPG marketing is a huge plus, and management consulting, agency, or apparel/retail experience also a plus
  • You are a proven marketer with strong brand/consumer foundations, excellent creativity, and communications background with media/precision marketing experience
  • You have a track record in building purpose driven brands with strong experience in developing large, multi-channel communications/advertising programs that have built brand equity and delivered business results
  • You have strong general manager orientation with experience in leading brands holistically including P&L accountability
  • You have a proven history of being a “talent magnet” and also in developing world class marketing professionals
  • You are highly collaborative with experience connecting marketing strategy to customer needs and execution; knowledge of working in DSD/distributor facing organizations is an asset
