The Headlines

 

In the role of Marketing Manager, Proof Point working in Chicago, IL, you’ll be the marketing manager for the Proof Point brand. You’ll operate as a creative brand builder and a business owner of a brand in an extremely fast paced and dynamic industry. This position will report to the Director, Hard Seltzers and works closely with internal and external stakeholders through the value chain to deliver on strategic intent of the brand. You will lead the development of the brand strategy and apply it to the development of brand programs and creative messaging. You will ensure effective integration of brand plan / activities/ marketing programming and messaging from conception through execution into broader organization, while retaining the ability to react to competitor and market conditions You will deliver against the brand’s strategic, volumetric and financial goals annually. Not only will you define the vision across the marketing mix nationally, but you’ll also sell the programming strategy to key external stakeholders including distributors and key retailers You will attract, lead, manage and mentor employees in a way that ensures retention, development and superior performance

 

The Responsibilities:

  • Brand Analysis
  • Resource allocation
  • Financial planning for assigned brand
  • Leads brand’s annual planning process
  • Managing initiatives across the enterprise and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Selling marketing concepts to external stakeholders including distributors and key retailers.
  • Identifies opportunities and target consumers
  • Translates business and consumer insights into actionable business ideas.
  •  Creative development across select marketing mix elements and platforms.
  • Effectively leads, manages, and develops employees to create a culture of superior performance and foster top talent
  • Achieve volume, profit, and brand health targets
  • Manages brand portion of the P&L
  • Drive execution across select elements of marketing mix
  • Develop, manage and ensure execution of brand programs, creative and other elements of the marketing mix, delegating certain programs to direct reports.  Ensure program results are measured, reported, and used to inform path forward.
  • Clearly communicate all brand programs.  Provide clear direction and demonstrate leadership through meeting timelines.  Understand brand strategies, link to channel strategies and apply them to the development of brand programs and creative messaging

The Other Qualifications:   

   

  • Bachelor degree
  • 5-7 Years of related work experience
  • Relevant marketing experience on similar size brands
  • Master’s degree in business or marketing preferred
  • Experience in CPG marketing preferred
  • Ability to operate with a general manager mindset and make sound business decisions.
  • Sales experience
