The Headlines:   

In the role of Marketing Manager – Miller Lite working in Chicago, IL, you’ll be the brand lead for the Miller Lite. You’ll operate as a Brand Champion and own the overall brand strategy and positioning in an extremely fast paced and dynamic industry - – liaising with internal cross-functionals, Activation counterparts, and key external agency partners. This position will lead key Equity workstreams, including our VisID, Brand World/guidelines, and owning brief to execution on Equity driven initiatives, including new campaigns, programs and consumer strategic initiatives. This person will also lead key aspects of our 2025 Comms platform, including new campaign development.
 
This position will report to the Sr. Marketing Director and works closely with internal and external stakeholders through the value chain to deliver on strategic intent. 

 

The Responsibilities: 

  • You will clearly communicate all brand programs and provide direction by understanding brand strategies, link to channel strategies and applying them to the development of brand programs and creative messaging 
  • You will ensure effective integration of brand plan/activities/marketing programming and messaging from conception through execution into broader organization, while retaining the ability to react to competitor and market conditions 
  • You will ensure the strategic integrity within total brand portfolio, and within the beer category. 
  • You will deliver against the brand’s strategic, volumetric and financial goals annually, as well as long-term ability to meet three-year brand equity targets 
  • Not only will you define the vision across 360 degrees of marketing mix nationally, but you’ll also sell the 360 degree programming strategy to key external stakeholders including distributors and key retailers 
  • You will attract, lead, manage and mentor employees in a way that ensures retention, development and superior performance 
  • Leads and directs external and internal resources through the value chain to deliver on strategic intent. 
  • Responsible for integration into broader organization ensuring integrity of marketing programming and messaging from conception through execution links highly with brand positioning, while retaining the ability to react to competitor and market conditions.   

 

The Other Qualifications:       

  • Preferred that you have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business or, better yet, an MBA. Which leaves you perfectly poised to take the next step up into even more advanced commercial leadership roles 
  • You have at least 5 years of related branding experience for a leading CPG organization; sales experience is a definite plus 
  • You operate with a general manager mindset and always approach your work as an owner of the business 
  • You have a proven track record when it comes to building national marketing plans that consistently deliver both short-term and long-term business results, including meeting volume, share and profit goals 
  • Even though you’re near the top of the totem pole, you still have a strong intellectual curiosity and an unquenchable thirst for learning 
  • You have an innate ability to build empathy with consumers, in particular millennials and diverse consumers
