The Finance Analyst - Innovation position is a key finance business partner to the Innovation team, supporting decision-making and helping drive execution of Innovation projects. The ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with the Innovation team is key to the position. This role also works cross-functionally with numerous finance peers, the project management team, and the supply chain team on the development of North America Innovation business cases.
The Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Innovation team to develop and manage the annual budget for Innovation projects
- Own the Innovation month-end close, financial forecast, and budget tracking processes
- Use accounting principles and knowledge of internal controls to provide the Innovation team with objective, timely, and accurate financial reporting
- Develop North America Innovation business cases through cross-functional collaboration on all assumptions
- Shepherd business cases through the START process to achieve approval for each step
- Drive efficiencies in reporting and presentations
The Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent applicable experience
- 2 or more years of Finance experience
- Strong Excel skills and experience with financial software (SAP preferred)
- Strong finance acumen, ability to provide insights to improve business profitability
- Expresses ideas clearly, concisely, and effectively; listens to and responds appropriately to others
- Takes accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments
- Thrives in fast pace, collaborative environment with the able to act and react with speed even if limited information is available
