The Headlines:

    

In the role of Distributor Strategy and Route to Market Manager working in Chicago, IL, you will be responsible for developing and executing Molson Coors’ route to market strategy for all beverage products – beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcohol – with an emphasis on leveraging the Molson Coors distributor network as a competitive advantage.

 

The role develops that strategy by working with the Distributor Network Development team and Molson Coors sales leadership to assess distributor network capabilities, trends, and performance to enable Molson Coors’ introduction of its vast array of current and future beverage products to retail customers and consumers. 

 

The role leads the execution of that strategy by, and in conjunction with the Route to Market Specialist, managing new brand launches and distributor transactions, drafting, and issuing necessary distributor amendments and other compliance documentation, including brand applications and registrations, and working closely with the Distributor Development Directors, the Legal team, and our independent distributors to ensure timely and accurate introductions of new brands in the U.S. 

 

This role will also review the efficacy of the company’s distributor agreement database and dynamic distributor territory mapping software and, from time to time, recommend changes and optimizations to these tools.

 

This position reports to the VP of Distributor Network Development and will be a strategic advisor to sales leaders on distributor-related strategies, transactions, and insights. 

 

The Responsibilities:

  

  • Generate and analyze distributor network and other data to identify insights, trends and capabilities that inform the creation of the Molson Coors route to market strategy for new brands across all of beverage
  • Using the Distributor Benchmark Survey and other resources, advise the Distributor Network Development, Strategy and Emerging Growth teams on key strategic considerations with respect to the distributor network and route to market principles
  • Continuously review and assess the New Brand Proposal Process for all beverage products and distributor interest and capability assessments for Emerging Growth products
  • Serve as the primary Molson Coors face and contact person to the distributor network with respect to distributor agreement and amendment processing, including territory descriptions and product data sheets
  • Support the Distributor Network Development team and our independent distributor network in managing distributor transactions and new branch launches by drafting and issuing necessary documents in conjunction with the Route to Market Specialist
  • Amend distributor agreements to reflect changes to brand and/or territory assignments in conjunction with the Route to Market Specialist
  • Collaborate with Distributor Network Development and Regulatory Affairs Specialists to understand the timing of impending transactions and brand launches and facilitate successful execution of same
  • Assess the efficacy and capabilities of the current distributor agreement database and distributor territory mapping software and make an informed recommendation as to changes or modifications to the tools and/or processes associated with them
  • Primarily lead the Route to Market Specialist in the maintenance and updating of the company distributor agreement database, but also contribute to these efforts where and when needed
  • Primarily lead the Route to Market Specialist in the maintenance and updating of the company distributor territory mapping software, but also contribute to these efforts where and when needed

   

The Other Qualifications:

 

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience (5+ years) in business, economics or relevant function that require management and organization in a fast-paced and complex environment
