Crafted Highlights:  

In the role of Consumer Communications Manager working in Chicago, IL, you will be part of the Communications & Corporate Affairs Team.  You will amplify our core portfolio of brands through the creation and execution of progressive consumer public relations (PR) programs.

 

This position reports to the Consumer Communications Team Lead and works closely with cross-functional partners, including marketing and agency partners, to lead brands and execute day-to-day communications that increase consumer engagement and build momentum for our brands. 

 

What You'll Be Brewing:

  • This person will develop and execute strategic PR plans integrating brand plans, launch initiatives, sponsorships, promotions, and other major brand initiatives for internal and external audiences, with objective of generating greater awareness of and excitement for the brand among key audiences. 
  • Develop and maintain positive, constructive business-building relationships with team members.
  • Ensure internal communication is provided in timely, consistently, and effective manner, working with consumer, employee engagement and commercial communication teams. 
  • Develop, update, and deliver brand and promotional messages to consumer affairs on a regular basis.
  • Handles all proactive and reactive news media relations for the brand; develop key messages; prep senior management, brand, and others in advance of any interviews; and work closely with the corporate reputation team to serve as spokesperson for brands.

 

Key Ingredients:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in communications, English, or marketing OR equivalent experience (4+ years) in these respective fields. Experience in social media and with influencers a plus.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication, organizational and project management skills.
  • You have proven success in planning, developing, and executing communications strategies.
  • You are a public relations professional with proven record of contributing to the growth of specific consumer brands. You are plugged into culture and current marketing trends and can effectively engage leadership and teams through PR.
  • You have experience working with and leading agency teams (including PR agencies)
  • You have extensive knowledge of the beverage industry with special emphasis in understanding the dynamics of the three-tier system and how the sales and distribution system operates.
  • You have strong knowledge and understanding of broad corporate issues facing a regulated industry.
  • You have excellent writing and editing skills; speechwriting, scripting/presentations.
  • You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome. 
  • You love a challenge. You complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities.

At Molson Coors, we’re committed to paying people fairly and equitably for the work they do.


Job Posting Total Rewards Offerings: $96,600.00 - $126,700.00 (posting salary range) + 15target short term incentive + $23,000 on average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above market employer match, wellness incentives and EAP + paid time off (including holidays, vacation days and sick days).


The posting range provided above for salary is what we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We ultimately pay based on a number of non-discriminatory factors that inform pay decisions including but not limited to the required work location, previous work experience, skill set and internal equity.
