The Headlines:  

In the role of The Brand Public Relations Specialist in Chicago, IL on the Public Relations team. You will be responsible for stewarding the earned media representation of select brands in the Molson Coors U.S. portfolio, with the goal of creating and maintaining a positive and demand-generating public image for our brands. This role reports into the Director, Brand Public Relations.

 

The Responsibilities:

  • This person will manage the earned media strategy and execution, alongside PR agency, for Molson Coors' portfolio of brands, including beer, hard seltzer and non-alcohol beverages.
  • Write and/or review copy for a variety of mediums such as (but not limited to) media pitches, program key messages, press releases, advertorials, FAQs, influencer content, and spokesperson notes.
  • Critically evaluate the right earned media partners (media outlets and social media influencers) to review or represent each brand based on brand profile, target audience, tone of voice, and commercial objectives.
  • Work with marketing & commercial functions to gather necessary insights, knowledge, and assets for various public relations initiatives, report PR results and applicable learnings to internal stakeholders.
  • Manage day-to-day outputs of PR agency while working with advertising and media agencies to ensure that owned, paid, and earned strategies are integrated in their joint pursuit.  

 

The Other Qualifications:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or related.
  • You have at least three (3) years in public relations experience either in-house or agency.
