Your Purpose
As our Procurement Director EMEA APAC, you’ll be accountable for leading the end-to-end procurement activities and teams in the EMEA APAC division, which is made up of three regions (UK&I, Central and Eastern Europe and Geographic Expansion). This includes delivery of supplier cost, quality, delivery, value optimisation, innovation and sustainability targets and financial accountability of €1.4B.
Reporting to our Chief Finance Officer, you’ll develop and lead the procurement strategy for the EA division. This will include leading the divisional and regional procurement teams (total headcount c.70) by building capability and leading local and regional procurement activities with a focus on best-in-class supply management.
Developing key relationships with counterparts in the Americas will be important, to ensure any potential global procurement synergies are realised. This could be procurement initiatives/value optimisation projects as well as team and functional development (e.g. systems and processes).
You’ll also lead and negotiate the commercial contracts for key suppliers across the division, driving value and synergy across core categories in cost reductions but also through value optimisation in goods and services.
This is a key role on the EA Finance Leadership team as and such you’ll have opportunity to support and lead for the overall strategy and performance of the business.
This role could be based in any of our European legal entities: UK, Spain, Romania, Czech Republic, Croatia, Serbia & Montenegro, Bulgaria, Hungary, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Slovakia. Please note; you must be based in one of these countries and have legal right to work according to individual country requirements.
There will be a requirement for international travel, of approximately 25%.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for ensuring that the Procurement team across the EA division, deliver against key performance metrics and realise COGS savings over LRP. Key KPI’s include: cost, quality, delivery and sustainability (scope 3) targets.
- Develop, build and execute EA Procurement strategy that will deliver added value to the division. Working with global Procurement counterparts, support the creation and implementation of global sourcing strategies and team or functional opportunities.
- Leading procurement team across the division. Developing future successors, leading the team to drive and build engagement and strong capabilities of specialism and overall accountability of the people agenda.
- Building strong relationships across the stakeholder groups in particular the DLT team to support and drive the procurement agenda forward
- Build a common and globally linked approach to supplier relationship management, supplier ESG (including scope 3 EA commitments), procurement tools/systems and supplier innovation.
About You
You’ll have significant experience in senior, multi-geographical, Procurement and Commercial leadership roles, and be able to demonstrate the following experience and skills through the interview process:
- Setting Functional Procurement Strategy for a global or multi-region/country team, with data to support.
- Indirect and Direct Procurement experience gained in a global or multi-region business.
- Functional Development – including driving for volume synergy, VOP and low value sourcing, and setting team development plans.
- Experience of working in a global or cross-country procurement and/or business team.
- Managing/leading for Scope 3 Sustainability.
- Ability to lead across multiple geographies – with understanding of best practice procurement strategies and processes/systems and ability to develop a procurement team or function.

- Understanding of Procurement Systems and Procurement Operations.
- Understanding of Supplier Sustainability Requirements (Scope 3 Targets).
