Ready to make your mark? We're looking for a passionate Brand Development Manager to join our Sales team, championing our brands across East Anglia and building strong customer partnerships that drive success.

 

Your Purpose

The Brand Development Manager (BDM) reports to the Regional Sales Manager within the Independent Free Trade (IFT) wholesale structure and is responsible for driving MCBC Own brand distribution across a defined geographic region. They are responsible for total territory volume, distribution, rate of sale and stockist performance through the wholesale /indirect route to market.

Success in role comes largely from growing share in our existing customer footprint while delivering high‑quality, sustainable new business, working closely with New Business Managers and route to market partner sales teams. BDMs grow accounts by using market insights, category-led selling, strong commercial arguments, and value‑adding partnerships such as rebates, loans, and technical solutions like Cellarplus. 

 

Effective journey planning and disciplined use of the CRM system (Beermate) are essential, as is accurately maintaining and using data to identify opportunities and tightly controlling controllable spending in line with allocated monthly budgets. (Glassware/ POS). Works collaboratively with Senior NAMs and Wholesale AMs to execute the wholesale plan through value‑adding investments (e.g., listing fees, SKY deals, rebates). They must manage all investment performance to ensure adherence to contractual commitments.  

Strong engagement with wholesale/indirect partner routes to market is essential to drive long‑term, sustainable growth. Finally, BDMs must role‑model MCBC values, be results‑driven, and consistently deliver brilliant in outlet execution including digital in a fast‑changing and competitive market. 

 

 

Due to the geographical nature of the role and travel, The Brand Development will need to live on the territory OR within a commutable distance of  30mins or less by car to territory boundary OR no more than 1.45hrs to the furthers Customer on territory  - from home address 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving incremental volume by expanding MCBC Own brand distribution within a defined territory. Delivers the regional growth plan by increasing market share in existing customers through strong, long‑term relationships and a one‑team approach that ensures a high‑quality customer experience. Building and maintaining strong engagement with wholesale/ indirect partner routes to market is essential to drive long‑term, sustainable growth
  • Operates to defined operational standards, including agreed call rates, accurate call recording, disciplined journey planning, and maintaining up‑to‑date customer and technical service data (Bar records) within Beermate to position MCBC as the supplier of choice. Ensures all lending, rate, and investment activity comply with MCBC Trading Policy.  
  • Able to research, plan, and organise their territory using commercial reporting dashboards to focus energy on the right priorities—driving Quality Brand Distribution, Volume, Market Share, value adding CTS investment, controlling spend and elevating Customer Experience. Confident using data analysis tools and reports to track performance and provide clear progress updates in monthly one‑to‑one reviews.   
  • Role‑models MCBC values to ensure we win in the right way, supported by an active personal development plan aligned to our capability framework. Demonstrates curiosity about how the business creates value, using strong negotiation skills, category data, digital tools, and opportunity‑spotting to drive growth. Delivers customer value through effective activation and commercial execution.  
  • Builds and maintains a strong pipeline of new business to deliver sustainable long‑term value for MCBC and its customers. Keeps the Opportunities dashboards up to date and liaises with NBMs/SNAMs/WAMs to deliver positive customer experience. Success relies on high‑quality data input and working closely to share insights with wholesale/indirect partners.  
 

 

About You           

  • Skilled in researching, creating and executing commercially viable plans using reporting, journey planning, customer and technical data, and external market intelligence that results in meeting financial targets  

  • Using data analysis tools to track performance and progress and adapt approach when needed 

  • Commercial acumen and innovative thinking that results in delivering against performance goals in a competitive on trade environment. 

  • Skilled in developing strong, high quality, sustainable, customer relationships that delivers brand distribution and achieves growth plans via a collaborative and effective team approach including mobilising internal support teams, indirect/wholesale partner engagement and category management  

  • Skilled in influencing and negotiation and using these to not only sell our products but add value  through tactical investment (rebates, loans, technical solutions, Sky) whilst managing costs and monthly spend in plans.  

  • IT literacy, including Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMs, and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.   

  • Ability to successfully navigate complex route to market channels and compliance

  • Proven track record of delivering strong commercial results per agreed plans and goals in a sales‑driven environment. 

  • Proven experience in meeting operational standards, including call rates, accurate call recording, disciplined journey planning, and maintaining up‑to‑date customer and technical service data within CRM tools like Beermate. 

  • Experience in using cross team and external partnership collaboration to drive long term commercial plans via value added investments and comprehensive sales agreements  

  • Experience of creating new business pipelines via accurate data records and cohesive sharing of insights and opportunities with wholesale functions and colleagues

At Molson Coors, we’re committed to paying people fairly and equitably for the work they do.


Our Total Rewards package includes a base salary of £35,800.00 - £46,900.00 (posting salary range) plus a 28% target annual bonus, alongside a comprehensive benefits offering designed to support different needs and life stages. Benefits are flexible and include health, dental and vision coverage, a pension with up to 10% employer match, wellbeing support, an Employee Assistance Programme, life leave, and 31 days’ annual leave plus 3 bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell additional holiday.

The salary range shown above reflects what we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of posting. Final pay is based on a number of non‑discriminatory factors, such as required work location, previous experience, skills and internal equity.
