Your purpose

These roles have become available due to internal promotions and the introduction of our new Equal Parent Leave policy. Currently, we’re seeking a Finance Manager to join our team on a 15 month fixed-term contract, supporting our Sharps Brewery business. This role is based at our Sharps Brewery site, with 3-4 days a week on site.

 

In this site lead finance manager role, you'll partner with key function leads, providing financial support and insight to drive operational success.

You’ll act as a senior business partner to the Head of Supply Chain and department leads across engineering, logistics, quality, brewing, and marketing

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide monthly financial reports, analyse costs and variances, and lead finance reviews to drive efficiency and improvement.
  • Support robust financial processes aligned with business needs.
  • Perform month-end tasks including journal entries and accruals.
  • Manage Sharps’ credit control, including bad debt provisions and third-party sales processes.
  • Oversee liquidity management and regular forecasting to MCBC.
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts and supporting schedules.
  • Manage a team of three, ensuring alignment with business goals and fostering personal development.
  • Lead the year-end audit, working closely with auditors to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

 

About You:

  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Expertise in UK and US GAAP (and IFRS) accounting standards.
  • Proven financial analysis capabilities.
